I'd like to see white used up on a wing, a bit like Sam Reid was used for the Swans. He's got the pace and engine and he'd be very difficult to match up on. I also think he looks the best when he's in full flight. He's at his weakest when he has to stand under the ball and compete for a pack mark.

Agree, even liked the fact they gave him a run in the midfield earlier this year as a RR type.

i don't get how we hold on to the "traditional" playing position. the rr and rover roles, ostensibly, no longer exist.

Yeah, watched the game. Did okay early matched against Watson and/or Waite. We ran out of players on the I/C bench half way through the 3rd and their midfield got on top as ours tired, dramatically improving supply. Certainly wasn't natural for him but he held his own against quality opposition

yes, of course i did know but the typical team now consists of forwards, midfielders, backs and interchange. in saying that, the field positions employed in afl are different to the tradition 3 players per line structure most of us grew up with.

Swan in doubt sucks. Still think we'll win by 40+ 👍

You get the feeling we'd really like to play De Goey this week but winning form may seem him have to wait another week at least.

PK is the other we really need to see what he can offer before to long.

He has shown he can get his 30 disposals or kick 3 when played forward at VFL level but outside of pure consistency every week not sure what else he'll be able to show at that level to get his shot.

To improve from here he needs further senior AFL exposure you feel.

Witts didn't exactly kill it in the VFL and with the fine forecast perhaps we give Gault another chance for at least this week.

Needs to be far better though as he couldn't make an impact on Fletcher in terms of accountability and wasn't involved in enough contests.

Crashing a few packs in the second half was probably his biggest highlight of the day.

The other player in slight doubt would be Oxley but after 3 impressive displays to start the season it would seem harsh to mark him harder than others and drop him for one quieter showing.

Was he subbed due to output or was there a fitness issue like bad cramping like we saw in round 1?

Expecting no change or one change at most unless injury strikes again.
