Sitting behind Pendles at Vic Park yesterday I saw that his right hand was in a brace! Hope he's OK.

Yep Bruce you must have been in the back of the Ryder. I watched Pendles as he stopped at the gate at a break to see if he was using both his hands. I couldn't see anything that was noticeable in terms of any of his hands being too sore to use.

He had no problem using both thumbs texting on his phone, which suggests it might be a sprained wrist, rather than a thumb injury.

Seedsman may be left out to recover from his sore hip - in which case he's the one to drop for Broomhead, and if required Oxley can go back in the HBF rotations. I'd be keen to get Witts in there at FF / second ruck sooner rather than later and I must say I'd drop White, not because Gault is doing much better BUT he seems to be doing more pressure acts and chasing and tackling. I could be wrong, but I just get that feeling. Having said that, Cloke, Gault and Witts is a pretty slow forward line, so might be better to go with Cloke, Witts and White.

All in all a good position to be in selection wise. I don't think Geelong will be easy and we might just get rolled in this one but I'd like to see the boys bring 4 quarters of pressure again, and anything can happen. If we can match Geelongs skills we should take it. It's out next test I guess, Essendon was the first and we did very well, Geelong the second and then they keep coming!

If Seedsman is out then I think Broomhead got ill at the wrong time and De Goey should get his chance after another BOG performance.

Certainly not confident going into Friday's clash. They're clearly on the slide but still got sufficient quality in their side to worry any side.

McIntosh (calf) and Smedts (collarbone) apparently both hurt in the VFL so their depth will be tested with the loss of Kelly.

If Seedsman get up thinking no change, even though I'd love to get Broomy back in if he's over the illness.

Would not think so. Maybe if we were playing Carlton.

Damnit, I like many others were planning to bring some flares to the Cats game, but now they'll all be sold out.

I'm hoping our performance against Essendon is still as good as I thought it was given how close the rabble that our the saints came to beating them today.

Either way against a proud Geelong we'll soon find out where we stand in the pecking order at this early stage.

Carlton proved nothing other than that they're shite beyond belief and we are capable of taking apart opponents of that calibre.

I know Carlton are shit, but there is an old adage saying that in any ball game you only play as well as your opponent lets you and we didn't allow them anything. Quietly confident about the cats and the tigers. I reckon the game against North will tell us a bit more about where we are.
