Hodge copped 3 weeks - fair enough, I reckon there is a case for 4.

May from the Suns lost his appeal, gets 3 weeks. Lewis only got 2 for his hit.

May's was accidental and truly in play. Lewis was clearly intentional, reckless, dirty and an awful, awful look for this great game. How he gets 2 and May gets 3 is utterly ridiculous.

In my opinion, the Lewis incident was worse than Hodge's.

Lewis should have got 4, Hodge 3, and May 2 down to 1.

Hodge should have got 4 .....no questions asked IMO.

Lewis at 3 should have stayed at 3. Period

So overall I think they [snip] it up ............ Again.

Seriously.

Hodge with minimal provocation stood up and threw a forearm intentionally into another players jaw. 4 weeks every day of the week.

How many did Barry hall get for Staker? Now wait for all the puffed up chests to tell me "staker got knocked out" and "Barry hall had a closed fist not a forearm" hoopla.

4 weeks every day.......

Sidebottom also says hi by the way. [snip].

I can see how you can argue that Lewis hit was worse than Hodge. Lewis lined Goldy up, Hodge just lashed out brainlessly.

I maintain that May's was accidental and had no recklessness or carelessness about it.

Mays is ridiculous, just something that happens in a contact sport. Had eyes on the ball, ball was within 5 metres, nothing to answer not even a free kick.

Hodge I thought 3 down to 2 but it went straight to tribunal, Lewis I reckon 2

Yep, it was. Both going for the ball, with eyes only for the ball. OMG!! That's why they appealed it, somehow, common sense did not win.

May took his eye of the ball (watch the footage) and got Rockliff in the head with the bump.

I do think his intention was pure in that he knew if he gathered the ball first he would be instantly tackled so he tried to be smart with his actions but unfortunately for him got him high.

The penalty is much to harsh but if you elect to bump and get someone in the head you know you'll probably be looked at.

Hodge was never going to get more than 3 given that's the precedent set with Yarran earlier in the season

Think it was about right?

AFL have always said that accident or not the head must be protected, he failed to execute a proper bump even though intentions were right. The guy got knockout and couldn’t play anymore and may miss this week. Both Goldstein & Spitter played on.

Pretty simple TBH.

You can still go to jail if its manslaughter and NOT Murder!!!!
