Not many D's supporters will be at the G on Monday. Snow season starts this weekend and I can already see the Range Rovers are packed and ready to go.
They even get a discount on snow chains at Super Cheap Auto now when you show your D's membership.

Some of you may remember a Barry Humphries song released in the mid-'60's called "Snow Complications".
His character was a young unctuous, arrogant, born-to-rule silver spoon sucker who regaled us with his ditty of travelling the world's ski spots while doing a little bit of business for his old man in Oz. His favourite spot was Mt Buller where he would curl up with a few tubes, a few snow bunnies ... and 'snow complications'!
Sounds like the winter anthem of our right-to-rule brethren at MFC.
Unfortunately for them there may be very little snow this weekend but plenty of complications at the 'G.

With so many silver tales following them I could never understand why the Melbourne Football Club was always skint. But one day a bloke told me it was because their followers (I won't call them supporters) have deep pockets and short arms. Case closed. |

Coodabeens give snow complications a run nearly every QB in honor of the opening ski season. |

Yeah that's what I was thinking, he's just right in it every week, he's such an exciting player.
I never discount Melbourne, that god awful draw is still in my mind. Oh that was an awful day! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

With Adams out, Kennedy will be a certainty to play the in and under role. |

BUT, how will the Deeeees silver spoons get their range rovers into the G carpark, with snow chains on the wheels, ready for a quick exit _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

I think you're on the money. If it is & it works out then the lack of depth we've had in the last few years will have been covered, in this regard. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Not after last years debacle when we rested Beams against the dogs.
Looking forward to seeing Rambo on Hogan if it eventuates. Kennedy might be a chance to come in for JDG. I wasn't that impressed with JDG's performance yesterday. He was like a deer in the headlights on a couple of occasions. |
Would Brown have the mobility to go with Hogan? Thinking Frost might be the better call
The Ds like to give us a run for our money and every once in a while have been able to get up. They'll try to close us down and will threaten us more than a few times.
However, at the end of the day they are a bottom 4 club and we have been hammering bottom 4 sides this season.

Agreed Dave.
We have no reason to think we can just turn up and thus beat anyone. Look at our first half v Norf (we were crap). Let's put in a full 100 minutes and get a result. Beware a side that can play, but can't sustain eg Melbourne. They just need a sniff to keep trying, and thus make things difficult for us. So we need to be on our game. |
