Half back flanker, with some midfield scope. Kicks can really do some damage to the opposition on the counterattack. Loves the physical stuff, puts his head over it and wears it. I think you'd like him...

Great, sounds all good ! Kinda like a Luke Ball type is he Very Happy

Yep, look at today, gorgeous weather, much prefer Sat arvo games, with sunday to relax, savour the win, watch the replay. Idea

Bit concerned over our injuries now, Grundy and Blair huge losses, my 33 point win has just been shaved to around 10 points, could be a long long, afternoon. !

Does anyone have the same suicidal tenacity as our Bally?

He is a hard nut though, for a half back flanker, so he won't shirk the issue. Endurance not a strong point at present, however, so if he came in expect him to be a monty for sub...

I see three key battlefronts in this game:

1) Ruck - providing first ball use. With Grundy out, Witts will have his work cut out for him. We will likely be beaten here, but if Witts can provide enough competition to prevent Mumford dominating I think we can survive.

2) Contested ball and clearances - the big three for the Giants have been Ward, Shiel and Treloar. I expect close run with roles by Crisp, Adams and DeGoey to cover these three and leaving our premiums (Pendlebury, Swan and Sidebottom) to run riot against the next tier of GWS mids (Coniglio, Griffen, Greene et al).

3) The Giants only rebound is through Heath Shaw so I expect to see him closely checked.

If we get nutted again in the midfield then the GWS run and handball will put up a cricket score against us. I think we can win the midfield battle with several players having something to prove - Sidebottom and Crisp coming off poor showings, Witts as #1 ruck and a chance to hold it, Seedsman dropped and recalled. If we can control play and slow things down a bit I think we will win.

Pies by 24 (or failing that GWS by 60).

Do teams just drag Heater to FF still?

The bye is going to be worse. Hopefully we can win tomorrow so the mood around here will be good during the break.

We are ranked #1 for CP, GWS are last. We rank #3 for kick/handball ratio GWS are #17. They rank #1 for handballs and we rank about 12. They are a free wheeling handball team. If there was a blueprint on beating them it's Coll v Geel 2008. C'mon boys lets harrass the f$&@ out of them and bring them down. If we allow them easy uncontested possession they will slaughter us.
