Tossing up whether to get Foxtel this season. Can someone tell me how many Foxtel only games are shown this season?

Dunno. But I got it a month ago and it's worth $60 a month. Get the $50 sports package and pay an extra $10 for the sports in HD. You won't regret it.

Every Collingwood game is live on Foxtel. Either on Fox Footy or Fox Sports 3. That's into Melbourne though. Unsure on other states.

Decided to get the new foxtel sports pack at 50 dollars a month.
Every AFL game plus replays plus plenty of AFL analysis.
You also get the I Q box for recording every game - very simple recording.
Saw the 3 nab games. This year I do not have to put up with stupid Bruce
and his dumb stats.
I didn't op for the HD mode as I think it would be only a marginal difference
Also, you only get 1 connection point.
Resisted the urge to get foxtel for the last decade.
But decided on the cost and the corporate culture of game day footy.
When people look at you when yelling out then it was time to get Foxtel.
Plus a half dozen FULL strength beer in front of telly sounds good.

I have Foxtel, but I love motorsport too so it's a massive win for me.

The footy coverage is great and even though the Ch7 games are upscaled, it still looks amazing compared to FTA.

If you like Motorsport, the Malaysian F1 GP was on last Sunday and the coverage started at 4:30 for a 6pm race start. After the race you got an hr and a bit (until 9:15) of post race stuff.

The whole coverage was direct from the BBC.

You get all prac, qualy and race live.

Also the MotoGP is fantastic. Same as the F1, though the coverage is shorter, you still get prac, qualy and race of all 3 classes.

Surprisingly the V8's are pretty good too!

So if you're into that stuff, def jump on board!

I also love the world endurance championship, WRC and NASCAR too (albeit NASCAR not as much). You wont regret it!

Thanks for the replies, I know every game is on Foxtel, but what I actually want to know is if I don't have Foxtel, how many games will I have to go to the local pub or club to watch this year.
I honestly can't be bothered watching other sports, movies or tv shows, so I would be paying $750 a year to watch 5 or 6 games at home live, this is my predicament.

Only 6 of our games are "foxtel exclusives" into Melbourne anyway.

And of those 6 only one, the Gold Coast game, is an interstate game that a Melbourne based fan can't go to.

Seems channel 7 just love us, of course we rate well even when we lose because everyone else likes watching that.

If it's just to watch Collingwood then there are only 6 games on Foxtel (I think there were 7 last year).

In my view not value for money. On Holidays in tissue recently we had foxtel in some of the accommodation places we stayed at. Really, a load of crap in the main (in my & Mrs WPT's opinion). Foxtel is a rip off as you still have to pay for packages.

Having said that I get apple TV for films etc, may choose Netflix but I'll see.

I too resisted for a long time but bought a new ultra HD TV and wanted to watch footy in HD up scaled. The recording is so simple and useful. No ads siren to siren is great too. I have junior footy to attend pretty much all Sunday so Sunday games are out for me to go.

Nothing beats being there. I've been going to the footy regularly for nearly 40 years and I buy a membership every year. But to take my kids, get a reserved seat, pay to park, eat and drink costs me over $100 a pop.

$60 a month to sit at home watch in HD, drink 10 beers, not have to drive anywhere and then fall asleep on the couch suits me.

I've had foxtel for years I love sport so made sense to me. I use the IQ on every pies game and then I can rewatch it later and watch for certain things.
I would recommend it for any sports nut.
Plus side is I can relax drink as many beers as I want then get into a nice red wine if the result goes my way
