I would suggest this is the attitude of a loser… already lost before the ball is bounced - why try? pathetic.

i blame the mother.

No chance of Blair or Goldsack being dropped I would think - both leaders and have been playing okay.

Only 3 possible ins I would think after last night's performance (and then only if they are ready):

Grundy (unlikely based on what Club has said to date)
Greenwood (tomorrow's VFL game will be telling for him I suspect)
Reid (ditto Greenwood)

The only obvious out for form is Seedsman. Possibly White makes way if Grundy and Reid return. I suspect De Goey would be next to make way which is stiff as he is showing some good signs.

Despite his good showings, there are clearly concerns over Oxley's ability to run out a game given he has been red vested 4 times. He or Broomhead would end up as sub I suspect.

Goldy was good early but has been terrible the last few games. Doubt he will be dropped but after Seedy, he is the one that looks most likely to need some time in the vfl.

I don't think he has been terrible. He has also been our go to kick-in guy which is a pretty important role.

Last 3 weeks he has, I reckon. It's just the same Goldy we get whenever he hits a period of bad form, but it's been amplified because his games before the were top notch. You're right about the kick-outs, though: he has done that job well, even though the rest of his game has been off.

I wonder if Goldy is carrying an injury. He seemed to get stood on early against GWS in a pack. At the time I thought he may have had an opponent stand on his heel or calf or something similar. He seemed in pain for a while after that.

He trained today or yesterday according to a Mark Stevens tweet suggesting he is a chance.

Out:Goldsack, Seedsman, Oxley?

Ins from: Marsh, Greenwood, Reid, Maynard, Kennedy, Scharenberg

Goldsack to be dropped on form.

If history is any guide then Seedsman might be in trouble.

Harsh on Oxley but the coach chose him to be substituted so could be at risk especially if Reid and Greenwood are deemed fit enough to take on the hawks.

His light frame against a side like the hawks might be a liability.

My smokey is Maynard. Strong build already at 186cm 88kg, excellent kick and loves to tackle. Big ask for a kid to make his debut against the hawks and I guess it's unrealistic to think he can make a physical impact in his first game but had a reputation of not taking a backwards step at U18 level and you need that mindset against the hawks.

If we bring our A game I think we're a big chance to win this, Hawks aren't as good as they were last year IMO and I reckon we've improved, I just hope the boys aren't fatigued from last nights effort in general but also the travel.

All I know is if the hawks start trying to physically impose themselves with some unsociable football I hope we bite straight back.

If it costs someone a week or two on the sidelines then so be it.

To be honest I see this going one of two ways.

Either we'll have a big let down after last nights intense game and cope a hiding or the players will be smarting with the knowledge it's a game we could and should have won and will be out for redemption and it'll go down to the wire.

I'm hoping for the latter.

Sick of losing to these arrogant knobs.

Well its a reality, when do we ever beat Hawthorn?

But I don't see the point bringing players back for their first game against a dirty, sniping team like the Hawks when we only have a 6 day break to the next match which we should win. Keep them back an extra week
