I still highly doubt that we will secure the signature of Dangerfield.
Collingwood should focus on resigning the talent we already have. And if we happen to have some $$$ left over then maybe go for someone like Treloar from GWS. _________________ BLACK n WHITE

it's official. We won't be chasing Danger. We would never comment if we were serious.
This is a bit of gamesmanship to hopefully destabilise the Croww season given that they are one of the teams we are battling with for a top 8 position. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

And push up the price the Cats or Adelaide have to pay. |

Dangerfield just hit the jackpot. Show me the money and it won't be from us.

We've made 45 changes in that four year period and we're at a stage where our list profile, in terms of age and games are in the bottom percentile of the competition."
"So we need to be really strategic and targeted in terms of the players we attract." |
The club is working away and throws the decoy out there to distract from their real target. |

He (Hine) made no mention of Pies chasing Danger, what it does confirm for me though is that Hine is cooking up another big name, probably someone from the North with a bad knee this year....ssshhhh _________________ There is Collingwood and then the rest. |

Surely we have been into him all along ( even if not favorites ) particularly as a restricted free agent. If the crows match the offer which they have said as much, then he becomes a tradable commodity. That might just be enough for the Pies to drop off him in terms of what we would then have to give up to secure him.
If the cats lose motlop and their first round, I can live with that. |

I have no doubt Hine & Co have been doing all the necessary backgrounding... these guys are professional list managers it would go against their nature not to...
I also have no doubt that Hine & Co are going to make whoever gets Danger to pay big overs. |

It's the typical circus talk surrounding players coming out of contract. Probably just speculation....
But, I'd love to see him at Collingwood. An 'A-Grader' without doubt, they don't come cheap and we would have to pay. It's not the salary so much but what we would have to offer as a trade, because no doubt adelaide would be wanting a fair deal much like our hard-ball play with beams. _________________ Go Pies! |

We don't have to give them anything under FA so they can play hardball all they want, if they can't/won't match an offer, he goes where ever he wants. AFL then allocate compo. |

Isn't he a restricted FA though, meaning Adelaide can match the offer? |

As far as I understand it too. If he wants out then adelaide will try to do a deal I would have thought. _________________ Go Pies! |
