Bit OT, but if you're after a pre-game laugh check out this week's 'Friday Front Bar' video on the AFL web site. Its a hoot, one of their best yet.
(in particular, the discussion about how Swan will go to seed post retirement, and the possibility of a new goal kicking mentor for Cloke)

Le Cras, Darling, Hill and Kennedy have never kicked bags of goals against us in Melbourne. I'm worried about our scoring power with no Elliott but I just have a real good feeling amount this game. Wet Toast are flying but it's been a while since they have played a team that will pressure them greatly all day and probably beat them at contested ball. The other thing is we may improve our scoring after playing in wet or dewy conditions in the last three weeks. I sense our players will enjoy playing on a dry track in front of a home crowd again. I think we are going to be ferocious and shock them. _________________ Magpies love pies(Lol) |

Haven't been to a game for ages, looking forward to this one.
Saturday game, finally, interesting time and not fussed about it being at Etihad but the bonus is it's a short walk after the game to Goldfingers. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

If we can curtail their outside run early and stop them from jumping us I reckon the extra rest we've had will put us in good stead to run over the top of them later in the game. |

The overnight temp on Saturday night is going to be 1 degree C. And while it won't be that cold at Docklands during the game it will be colder than what West Coast are acclimatised to (been overnight lows of about 10C and daytime highs of about 20C in Perth of late). Here in Melb at the mo the temp plunges as soon as the sun goes down.
My point is, if the Pies can force the visitors to over exert themselves through a hard pressure contest, especially late in the game, the Weagles might start breaking down with muscle tears etc - snap, crackle, pop. |

Eagles are probably alongside the Dawks the Most In-Form team in the Comp and Been Kicking Massive Scores.
There Back-Line is Undermanded but seems to be holding up fine.
We have to stop Josh Kennedy as IF he kicks a Bag I can’t see us Winning
I think there Midfield be a Tad Deeper then Ours.
Our Forward Line HAS to perform to give us any chance of winning. Cloke has to Stand Up.
Grundy and Witts vs Nic Nat and Sinclair be very interesting to watch.
I think Adams will be Missed as we saw when he missed the Queen’s Birthday Game vs Dees. Though Greenwood is a very similar type.
We have to start well or it will get Ugly.
My Tip - Eagles by 30 pts. Just can’t see us winning this game sadly especially at Docklands where we don’t play very well at _________________ I am Da Man |

Good summary Dave. I reckon you're right. Would rather the game be at the MCG as the Eagles are well suited to Colonial. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

I hate Etihad-
only bonus is this week- it disadavntages Eagles as much as us- as both used to big open spaces of MCG and Subi.
Etihad does not help forwards- too congested- so should help us out there.
My concern is the midfield- and WCE have a bunch of fast strong mids who kick goals.
Midfield is where the game will be won.
Steele to run with Gaff (who is their main link player and creates so much)
Crisp to run with Shuey (and hopefully do a Sam Mitchell cork early!)
Brodie to rough NicNat up around the ground.
Also need a defensive froward job done on Hurn and McGovern.
We can win- but it aint going to be pretty.
Go Pies! |

Hiss you been at berthas cooking sherry again.
Geez mate seriously how is this game so much more defining than any of the past 3 ?
You have 0 credibility when you make such imbecilic comments like this
The only head I would enjoy seeing roll would be yours in federation square as amusement for tourists
