At the moment HELL NO. Play well when they are the only Ruckman but when they share they don't play well.
Still play Grundy ahead of Witts.

Really low hit out tally from both with Witts 12 and Grundy 9.
Might be the lowest for the season.
Both managed to kick a goal at least just need to start clunking those marks more routinely.
With Cloke out I'd say we have no option but to stick with the pair. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Their performance in the forward line was a reminder of just how amazingly powerful Cloke is and what a unique talent he has.. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Will not win the flag in 2015.
Have a duty to the future to continue to develop these two lads at the top level.
If Cloke is out for an extended period, Witts and Grundy will have a clear run at it. They are no worse in the air up forward than J. White.
Would like to see Moore given a run as well. _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |

Their performance tonight was shocking.
It wasn't that they got smashed in the ruck
It was there poor forward and around the ground effort
that stood out. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

I think the problem is still this:
1.) Witts is not quick enough. Can't get up and back fast enough, caught out of position a lot, doesn't get to enough wing contests and the ones he does he doesn't win anyway.
2.) Grundy is still green as a cucumber, still not confident in his ability to dominate the more experienced ruckmen but i think in time he will.
Together they are a 75% ruckman and an 85% ruckman, together they fall short by 40% which equates to 4 goals per game against us directly from center clearance contests. I have no facts to support this at all, just a gut feeling. _________________ RED "BABY" CAVANAUGH: Didn't hear what the bet was.

Big call on Grundy there, Dave - since Witts is the first ruck. Should we trade Grundy for Treloar? |

In you're mind he is.
In my mind and plenty of others Grundy is the better ruck prospect because he impacts around the ground more and did so again today with 17 possessions to 10, 5 marks to 0. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

How about we keep both but DTM has a hardon for Grundy and evidence and facts are irrelevant. _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

If you're going to develop a young team you have to be able to stomach the pain that goes with it. Today is one of those days. We should persevere with both of them. |

I've never thought we should play Witts and Grundy together - at least not until they begin taking overhead marks in the VFL. |

Or we could just keep playing them together until they both start to dominate.
Helps if your best 2 forwards are actually playing. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

We where never going to win the Flag this year. We are at least 3 Years away of being a Top 4 Side.
I also love to see Moore have a Good Run at it and Might have the Chance with Cloke out for at least 2 weeks to out for the Season _________________ I am Da Man |
