These are the only 4 healthy players on the list who weren't named in the announced 25!
Assumptions:
Scharenberg, Howe, goldsack, Reid, Elliot and Varcoe - injured or recovering.
Goodyear, sier, Crocker, Phillips and wills - youth. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Broomhead has been recovering from a shoulder injury. White is purely a depth player. Aish and Marsh are both young players, who need to earn a senior berth by playing well in the VFL. Aish needs to harden up a bit and Marsh needs to improve his kicking and decision-making. Seriously, our list is in terrific shape. |

Hopefully White never plays for the AFL team Again but other 3 will be seen quite often at AFL level this season.
Broomhead is still not fully back from his Injury _________________ I am Da Man |

Not sure if serious.
Aish first year player at the pies, third year player in the system.
Coming off an injury filled 2015 while his preseason has been solid but not denanding of selection.
White is now on the edge of our best 22 with the encouraging preseason form of Gault and Witts in particular keeping him out. He's still in contention for a spot going forward with Gault, Moore and the two rucks yet to prove there worth as consistent threats up forward.
Broomhead is yet to establish himself in our best 22 with youth, injury and form all playing there part to date. Was injured again during the preseason. Has talent but it's probably a make or break year for him now with the off season signings of Treloar and Aish, the emergence last year of de Goey, improvement in Fasolo while Elliott is an obvious best 22 member when fully fit.
Marsh is still a work in progress with a second serious hamstring injury last year once again halting his promising VFL season. Still needs to work on his field kicking and concentration but has a lot to work with and is eager to learn and improve. Hopefully the hamstring injuries haven't dissolved his speed as it's a major asset. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

OP's arithmetic is correct. We had to pick 25 players out of 29 available, this means 4 were not selected.
On the outer? For this game, sure but none of these non-selections is a great surprise. Anyone else missing from the 25 who were selected would have been equally or more surprising. _________________ Well done boys! |

Yeah - wasn't named in VFL either, so I assume injured and no risks. He did play match simulation the other day though didn't he? _________________ All We Can Be |

So current injuries are Scharenberg, Varcoe, Elliott, Broomhead and Smith I think based on the two team lists. _________________ All We Can Be |
