^ gault got reward for effort from his performances in the preseason. hopefully a short stint in the vfl will provide him with the confidence he needs to compete at afl level.

as an aside, supporters are so quick to build players up and then equally quick to tear them down. i hope gault makes it. his situation certainly continues to test the abilities of grace, rocca and buckley.

I always like beating this mob, simply because their fans seem to hate us more than anyone.

We should win, should. Very Happy

It will be interesting to see where Goldsack plays today. Is he replacing Frost or Macaffer? Clearly we had a role for Caff up forward, I assume largely as a negator, so Goldsack would seem an obvious replacement with Howe taking Gault's spot and Maynard replacing Frost.

I've seen very little of Goodyear but like that he has good pace and endurance, we are a poor running team and need to be better - it's our one major weakness.

I just hope St Kilda don't have a first gamer to kick three goals against us for three weeks in a row, Pies by plenty

Despite the fantastic result in the end we have to treat last week's match as a loss so hopefully the boys can come out breathing fire today against St.Kilda. I think the gloss surrounding St.Kilda's 50th anniversary celebrations will wear off quickly in the match so we shouldn't worry about that.

Such a shame that Ramsay hurt his knee in training and is presumably out for the season so that's a big blow especially since he was finding some form in the seniors. Looking forward to seeing how Buckley uses Howe in the team, whether that is in the forward line or being used as a more defensive player.

I haven't seen much of Matthew Goodyear so I can't say too much on how he'll go but a 10-15 possession game and a sign that he understands the team structures will be good enough for me.

Big chance to go 2-1 so hopefully we make the most of it and obtain the four points. Great to have Saturday afternoon football back at long last!

According to SEN, St Kilda is number one in the competition for clearances this year and Collingwood is 16th. Be nice if some of our incredibly expensive midfield could get a $%^*ing first touch at the stoppages.
