Depends if Brown/Reid can quell Hogan?
And if Dawes is fit for a recall?

Why did get rid of Ceglar?

We trained him up and offloaded him. Then he blossoms. Maybe we will gift wrap Witts and or Grundy too.
And maybe he actually has a ruckman as ruck coach! Not some ex clubman who didn't play the position but got squeezed in because he used to wear our jumper. _________________ "The night is a very dark time for me" Chaz Michael Michaels

Watching on TV, I thought the same thing early on. Then he had to try to defend on Sandilands and got found out, then his kicking deserted him and he turned over about 7 in a row, to finally get relieved of the kicking out duties.
Promising start but no way did his performance justify a recall.
Cox looked really good. He took some good marks and used his body well. He has good quick hands in general play and gives the ball off well. His game sense and reading the flight of the ball in the air has come on a hell of a lot. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

We'll need a miracle to beat the deez next week. They run, chase and tackle hard while we're slow, sloppy and incompetent. They go man on man and move the ball in quick.
It's about smooth, fast transition on the pill. Is bucks the only coach who doesn't get it? This is how the game is played now. There's simply no time to piss fart around with it or zone off into space while your man leaves your sorry arse behind as you desperately run to catch his tail.
Every team has figured us out now. We might pinch a couple here and there but until we change the way we play, we're done for and will be unable to compete with anyone in the top 4 let alone the top 12 because we're simply not good enough. |

your comments suggest you haven't been watching melbourne these last couple of weeks and not heard bucks bang on ad nauseum about wanting to be a fast transition side. then again, you suggested bucks had a career defining game in a practice match vs north in wagga. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

Does it matter? We need a new coach, nothing will change until we get one. _________________ Defender...........

If we thought Melbourne looked good today, and they did, it should be a positive sign for us. Remember last week? The Dees were a laughing stock after losing to the Bombers. I think this year is very tight, with a number of improving teams and we're going to see a lot of inconsistency from week to week.
And not that you like to make excuses, but in an even year any club which is missing key players is going to be in trouble, we get two back next week after being without 4/5 of our best 10 this week (included Pendles as a fifth as he has needed to play out of position due to injury). _________________ Well done boys! |

We lost to Melbourne last year by 37 points in our second match against them and I think we're worse now tactically speaking than we were back then.
Worrying times. Based on what I've seen this weekend from both teams Melbourne should beat us comfortably. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |
