I will be really surprised if we do. Melbourne are a much improved side with a lot more stability in their playing personnel than us, and that usually wins matches. With our injury list, i think we'll get hurt on the scoreboard today. Still, we live in hope....

Even with a strange looking 22 if we play up to our best we win this game.

Melbourne are still Melbourne, so if you put them under pressure they will wilt.

Four quarters of effort wins us this game, I just don't know if when we will put that together again.

I'll be there though, I know a lot of you won't.

I'll be watching this game in front of the heater in my lounge room.

Go Pies

I'll be there but I'm fearing the Melbourne supporters will be outnumbering us. It's not often Melbourne gets this chance to defeat us twice in one season and so the snow fields will have to wait an extra week for them.

Don't give us much hope. I struggle to see how 3x 200+cm players will work. Especially when they're not that good. Theyre just average players ATM and none have dominated the air yet.

Dees will be up for their special day, so can't see them being flat.

I have tipped horribly this week, so that is one thing going for us. Cos I didn't tip us.

Good to hear Buckley’s got the band back together.

Frosty on drums, Sinkers on bass, Pendles keeping the rhythm alive, Treloar cutting lead breaks from centre stage, and the lanky yank getting sassy out front.

It’s a long way to the top but they’ve given Cloke the poke.

Going to be huge when they play ‘Pies by Thirty’ with Sidey on vocals.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Witts and Cox both in the forward line at some stage, also to see Marsh playing up forward although he could go back and send Howe up forward.

there's options there, lets see how it plays out.

Yeah haven't beaten us twice in one year since 1988, that's a hell of a long time between drinks.

They'll be celebrating like they've won the flag (not that they know what that feels like) if they win today.

So I'd take a draw right now, no one wins then. Laughing

and we've had a lot to celebrate of late? Confused

they haven't won a qb clash since 2007. we've been good at ending winning streaks this year.

Hey I'll take a flag every 20 years or so over not having even gone close to winning one in 50 years. Very Happy

And yes, we've been breaking records this year, for all the wrong reasons.

Especially our own

While I don't condone violence I wouldn't be too perturbed if Viney got some comeuppance today.
