Well, based on decent team selection (Witts & Frost have struggled lately and I live in hope that Clokey isn't mentally spent) and that Freo aren't full strength & won't relish the conditions, I'm tipping the Pies in an arm wrestle by a stressful 2 goals.
When I think of Freo's huge recent wins I wonder if I'm mad but they play much better on their own turf & haven't been at the G yet this year. (Magpie tragic or real reasons?)
Go Pies, let's get this!! |

I am just hoping it isn't raining as we sit adjacent to the fence so no cover at all. _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |

Pies to win by 20 points. Shocker dockers to stay under the water... |

someone will end a losing streak tonight. either the dockers will win at the mcg for the first time since 2006 or pies will defeat the dockers for the first time since 2010. given this season's penchant for ending streaks i am tipping the former is a high probability of happening. that said, pies by 17. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

No idea what to expect tonight. Hope Cloke rips the game apart, albeit, going to be tough given the likely conditions. Suspect Cox will be a late out but not a fan of any of the emergencies. Maybe Tooves? Not really like for like and Tooves offers nothing up forward. Perhaps Caff could come in an revive his former self as a forward?
Pies by 45.... my last game live in who knows how long. C'mon Pies... don't do it for Eddie, do it for me!!! _________________ Side By Side Forever |

Um.... can I have some of whatever you're on John? .... we beat the Shockers at the G in 2012. And they last won at the MCG on July 25th last year??? _________________ Side By Side Forever |

Gowoodsmen, assuming the 'Pies are willing to cop the fine, who do they bring in if Cox is weathered out? _________________ No one needs to get hurt, it's only business. |

With the Shocking Forecast it could be quite a wet game tommorow night. Us going might be look a Bit Mad.
I suspect Cox to be late out for Caff with the Forecast.
Great to see Aish back in after Dominating the last 2 games in the VFL. Hopefully with Confidence up he can show why he was Rated so Highly in the Draft in his Draft Year.
Cloke and Brown makes our Spine way better.
Though Freo has been back in lot better form last 3 Games.
I still struggle to see us winning this game after the last 2 Crap Games and we also not have a Good Record on Games after the Bye.
So I tip Freo by 20 pts _________________ I am Da Man |

Wills? Debut in the wet and heavy conditions but can he run out a full game? Sack/Caff have the experience and smarts and the wet might slow down the game. Cox might clunk a couple but would be expected to bring the ball to ground. Which is the better choice? _________________ No one needs to get hurt, it's only business. |

Id like to see that too, big body in these conditions but isn't he coming back from injury? If so go with the Sack, pressure pressure pressure! _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after. |

I have a shocking bad cold, so cant go, but wil be there with you guys in spirit, as I sit beside the open fire with the telecast. Give the boys a cheer for me too, if you remember !
Actually, I reckon the boys will do it, firstly cos of the wet conditions, very cold, we will adapt more than the purple pumpkins, and secondly, I reckon they might do it for eddie too, , after his week of hell, they like eddie, and I have a feeling may do it for him, and of course, the fans.
WOODS by 14 points, after a dour and scrappy game, I hope. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.
