Are we trying to Tank?
Why would we play someone who is not even good enough at VFL Level? |
Damn shame about Gault, he looked promising in the pre-season. Just didn't bring it into the season proper.
Wont be at the Pies next season, and will probably star at another club. |
No, he really won't.
Unless you mean at Swan Districts reserves, in which case the point still stands... _________________ I am vengeance. I am the night. I am MagpieBat. |

Gault done that the last few Pre-Seasons. Looked Promising in them but did nothing in the Regular Season _________________ I am Da Man |

Disagree, think our best is better than Richmonds and more importantly we're heading north, they're heading south. Issue is we haven't had our best available all season and it's a tougher question to argue which of the sides picked this Friday is better. |

If he grows a beard, Port might take him as the 3rd Westhoff. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

No, i'm not quite over that either.
Reiwoldt nearly kicked more goals than our entire team.
A payback would be in order methinks... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

We should be very, very concerned about the fine players Richmond will be able to bring in from their VFL team. They had a very good day against Casey, finishing the game with the full 8 scoring shots and only letting Casey get the bare 36. |

Um, what?
Richmond played Frankston, against whom they managed 26 scoring shots, conceded 15 scoring shots and beat by 5 goals.
That being said, there ain't exactly a lot of quality running around down there, so your underlying point probably still stands... _________________ I am vengeance. I am the night. I am MagpieBat. |

The suggestion that Marsh might be dropped strikes me, having watched the game, as bordering upon bizarre. His closing speed and reading of the game were very important in the win over West Coast. Of course we'd all like him not to turn the ball over and make silly decisions like the one where he spoiled what would have been an uncontested Sidebottom mark through for a point, enabling the Wiggles to goal from the kick in but these things come with time. He continues to look like he has substantial up-side and I would like them to persist with him.
In fact, despite my continuing frustration watching Marley Williams with ball in hand, the defence did a solid job, all round. The Eagles average 99 points per game and Collingwood kept them to under 75% of their usual score. I appreciate that they don't perform well away from the West and that a lot of the hard work was done by our midfield (which did the tackling and chasing for both the North Melbourne game and the Eagles game all in the one match) but they do have a few very potent goalkickers. Kennedy was kept to 2, Darling got his usual few easy ones and Le Cras was basically unsighted. I wouldn't want that messed with this week, even though there a couple of changes I'd like to see long-term (including someone onto the HBF, so Howe can move up to the half-forward/wing and Ramsay for Williams) |

You'd better sort this out, then - I was relying on your post, MB:
"How They Fared Last Week:
Collingwood 13.14.92, def
Geelong 5.12.42
Coburg 6.2.38, def by
Casey 16.20.116"
It goes on to suggest that they play Frankston after Collingwood. Or have I misunderstood something?
Edit: I see - Coburg isn't the Richmond seconds anymore. My bad. It's only been three years. |

SCENARIO #1:
In: McCaffer
Out: Moore
Cox didn't set the world on fire on in the VFL last Saturday.
Caff laid 16 tackles - I reckon use him as a defensive forward.
SCENARIO #2:
In: Frost/Oxley
Out: Moore
Reid or Howe to line up on the HFF. |
