Quote: | Height: 191cm Weight: 89kg
Date of Birth: 20/5/1993
Recruited From: Old Scotch
Background: Another player recruited from the VAFA, Wills is a promising young forward looking who has secured a spot on Collingwood’s list for 2015. At 191cm, Wills has been a key presence at Old Scotch for the past two years. After dominating in the reserves for much of 2013, he was rewarded with a place in the senior side and gained invaluable experience during the latter stages of the season. He secured a more regular spot in the side in 2014 and was named in the best in six of his 11 senior games. At 21 years of age, Wills' growth will be put to the test this season as he tries to break into a young side determined for success.
Dale Tapping Says: Rupert is a powerful, tall midfielder. He feel like he’s got some really good attributes and is going to learn the game and take a lot out of this year. He’s got really good upside and has some genuine power with the way he plays. He’s quite an exciting player. |

A bit of a surprise, but I'm stoked. I suggested him as a rookie on here earlier this year. Thumping kick and tough. |

This Rupert is very pleased that Collingwood have finally filled that Rupert sized hole in the list! I think we are the most Ruperted club in the league _________________ McRae for Governor-General! |

Great pick! Played 6 of the first 8 and looked more than comfortable at VFL level, then mystery injury kept him out most of the year playing only 2 more games (for Old Scotch). Nicely covered and very generous donation coming your way Cards, cheers
More importantly this gives some great motivation to come play with the Pies Magoos and now can use this as a launching pad for those late bloomers/unlucky many that miss out on the draft first time around.
Great move Pies!
Maloney for rookie list is my next prediction! |

Saw quite a bit of him in the VFL. More talented than most of our VFL listed players. Also brave and hard in the contest. I kind of wondered where he went during the year as he showed some real tasty stuff at times. I didn't even think of him as a primary list draftee or even a rookie chance. But you could argue he has more potential talent than Moloney, Pendlebury, Still and Williams who are all known quantities.
It seems we felt the draft really opened up from 25 to 60 and we just went with our favs. We even took Wills before Crocker who was expected to be picked up tonight. _________________ Magpies love pies(Lol) |

A really good kid who will leave no stone unturned to give himself the best shot of making it.
Has all the attributes to be a quality AFL player.
A late bloomer, the confidence to trust his own prodigious talent has only dawned on Wills in the last 18 months.
