Hi Folks.
I watched the new Footy Show last night. The first time I have watched for a few years and I enjoyed it.
Ed is the best front man for this type of show (in my opinion) but Dave Hughes .......I find him so irritating. (again, in my opinion)
Loved the interview with Damien Hardwick and Trent Cotchin.
I thought it was a very clever way of getting around the Nathan Buckley situation.
Hold your course, the tide will turn. How close was Dimmer to getting the sack last year?

Madden gives me the irrates.

I cant cope with all that hair, teeth and pretence.

In general this year it appeared she secretly enjoyed it when Sam was on the backfoot and down.

She is a try hard and highly strung, she needs to chill.

Thats just my opinion.

Other than that it looks alot better with Eddie there.

I quite like Madden, but now that Eddie is back as the moderating influence, there's really no role for her.

They would be better giving both Newman and Hughsey the arse as they are embarrassingly bad.

Madden may be a pain but what about Sam Lane two weeks back saying she had ghost extractors to her house to remove a presence

Only Watched the Start and then Turned Off. Ed makes it better but it's never been very good.

This show has been an embarrassment for a long time (I can tell that by only watching a few minutes here and there). Adding Madden was a good move, going back to Ed maybe not, though no one could be worse than Hutchy. Needs a complete reformat.

Noted that it was beaten in the ratings by The Front Bar before Hutchy was sacked. Another show that simply shouldn't be on the air.

I feel Madden only got the Job because she is a Women and the Female's where Stop Watching because of Sam

Madden is ok, knows footy and is engaging.
hughes is a moron.
newman is just an old school variety entertainer. probably goes home and reads proust.
mcguire should never have returned.
hutchy is a better journo than tv personality
barrett is a good journo, but is irritating.
brownless/crawford are entertaining

i record the show and fast forward through 90% of it. i mainly watch it for the players they interview and the team discussions.

if it was cancelled, i dont think i would be that upset. it's no world of sport or league teams.

The Footy show is definitely better with Ed in the hosting chair. That said all the talk of a 'new era in entertainment' was absurd, it's like putting a Hyundai through a carwash and calling it a Ferrari.

I don't think it's terrible, it's simply at the end of it's natural life. When it started there was nothing on TV like it, now there's football talk shows everywhere you look. The Front Bar is a good show, but it's not a great one, I think people are just in the mood for something different.

I guess they need to have a big makeover in the break for it to have any chance of surviving in the long term.

It wasn't too bad on Thursday. It's still hit and miss at the moment, but Eddie returning has improved it to a certain extent, but it still needs a lot of improvement for me to continue tuning in long-term.

Hughesy is a liability and I'm not a fan of Bec, so I wouldn't be bothered if they were removed. Crawford and Brownless make me cringe whenever I see them make an appearance.

The format of the show seems to have changed, with them opting for a format similar to the one we see in the NRL Footy Show.
