With Treloar doing his upmost (& medical clear) ditto Howe

Goldy during what Goldy does (never gives in)

Idea,s on if all three are ready 1st or 2nd week of finals who would they nudge out

Candidates be not disgraced Murphy and Magden —that’s two that I say thanks to but we need best 22

Oxley is way ahead of those two in the exit line.

I think Appleby should come into similar calculation. At least he has “ only “ missed six weeks.
I would think it’s more likely the long termers will come into consideration in the second week of our finals tilt.

Re Murphy: was it cramp that he seized up with in the last qtr? We wouldn't want that to happen in a tight final...

Agree re Appleby.
Goldsack: 2nd final, but only if he can get back into the rhythm
Treloar: if fit, bring him in and he gets some match fitness (whichever is his first game he's going to be a bit underdone, so let's get that out of the way in the QF) - he may still do some damage (to the opposition - hopefully not his hamstrings!); agree with starting him in fwd line with DeGoey in midfield, then rotate them in 2nd half

Howe for Oxley, Apples for Murphy. If Treloar is fit, he comes in for Aish.

If Aish goes I’d have him 1st up emergency as a precaution—he’s done little
wrong to be left out but cold facts are the best 22 with X factor a big plus

I’m a James fan but first and foremost a Pie fan and Adam can pull off that special goal no one was expecting

Need to keep Aish.
There is a case for Faz.
Moore if he had a miracle hammy recovery ditto Treloar.
Need experienced players in finals not rookies who are only average players like Magden.

In no particular order

In: Howe Out: Oxley

In: Moore Out: Madgen

In: Goldsack Out: Murphy

In: Treloar Out: Greenwood(?)

It's a tough call and I know my emotions influence my decisions. I love Greenwood but if Treloar is fit I can't see him staying in. You would expect Sier to be a (well almost) like foe like (midfielder for midfielder) but Sier adds some hard body to the mid which allows the likes of Treloar to play more outside and exploit his strengths.

It's actually a tough decision. But in none of my calculations does Aish go out. He is a natural footballer that finds it, uses it and tackles when he doesn't have it as good as anyone else.

VFL final next week for Goldy; if he plays well there and pulls up well he is a definite in for mine, rarely gets beaten one on one, and we are going to need that against the teams we will be up against.

I wouldn't hold your breathe on Moore getting up

With Moore we get a lot of less so a player who goes from 1st bounce to final bell please

Goldie will if fit be great—he and Mihocek are those old time style players

Howe and Treloar and Sack 4 me

Definite outs:
Murphy - not physically up to it, will be an even bigger liability in finals
Oxley - not an AFL level player

Out if a good replacement presents:
Madgen - hasn't done too much wrong; held his own in difficult circumstances, we'd need to think carefully about replacing him with players we only "hope" are ready

Definite ins if fit:
Howe - must be ready for the first final at the expense of Oxley
Treloar - looking more likely he'll play, Murphy the one to miss

Possible ins:
Moore - we'd want him to play as much as any of the missing, only question is can we trust his body? I think we'll take the gamble, the upside is too enticing. In for Madgen.
Goldsack - If all of the above play then I'm not sure we'll play Goldsack. It's difficult to even find the player he should replace: Mayne, Aish? Not sure that works for us. Hasn't played a game all year and just adds to the risk of playing Treloar and Moore. Could be matchup dependent though and if one of the above miss then he's more likely, but still not a certainty to replace Madgen for mine, has just missed too much footy.

And there is the rub ❓

Moore unsure
Howe has only missed a bit
Goldy and Adam more than others

A lot of half tuned and either sluggish from layoff or complete break down early

Two of four out due to injury backfire not ideal

Any ways we have a fortnight to evaluate where they are and risks involved

Be a very interesting two weeks eh!!!!
