What is the general feeling on the way it goe,s
A blow out (one side starts and get in front and not headed)
Or a four quarter grind (with lead changes thru )
And who of the two could jump out the blocks in front and stay there _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Moore must be risked as , as much he tries Goldsack will not hold Kennedy as he did not hold Riewold who kicked 5.
Kennedy is capable of kicking + 5 goals on Goldsack so Moore must be risked as he has the size to contest one on one and run off .
If Moore gets injured during the match that is the risk CFC must take in a G/F .
It is not the first time a G/F team has risked a player .
I recognise that WCE have other goal kickers but none with the ability to kick as many as Kennedy .
In many of our good wins this year CFC had nearly 10 goal kickers or more and to win CFC cannot rely on a few .
I am not sure if De Goey will have the chance to get clear like last week and I am also not sure if Cox can play like last week . I do not question their endeavour .
Reid was a fantastic CHB but was moved to CHF when we had a weaker forward line and if fitter than Moore I would risk him as he is proven at CHB . So who is fitter ?
I realise that there are many other CFC and WCE players to discuss and I am sure the respective coaching groups are doing so but the above re Moore or Reid is my main concern . _________________ THERE IS NO SHADING IT IS AS PLAIN AS BLACK AND WHITE THAT THERE IS ONLY BLACK AND WHITE |

Riewoldt was their inside 50 target 18 times for 7 shots on goal. He kicked 5.1 and didn't make the distance.
Riewoldt played well, no doubt. But a part of this 5 goals mantra that everyone has brought up is owing to the fact that 18 of the 48 times they went forward, they kicked it to him.
FWIW, I'd take a fit Darcy Moore over or next to the Sack, but I can't trust that he'd make it through the biggest game of the year.
There's also the question around Messrs Rioli, Cripps, Ryan and Le Cras. If we go tall we let them get a sniff. |

Surely we won't risk playing a guy who, in the last game he played, did his hammy trying to handball to a team mate. Still, stranger things have happened. |

I've backed us by 40+ @ $5.75. Also at the line/under 160 points (3/1). double.
Had a dabble on Treloar (33/1) & Varcoe (18/1) for 1st goal.
Maynard (80/1), Varcoe (50/1) & Crisp (33/1) for the Norm Smith. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count.

Never a good idea to play the game out in your head beforehand, good advice for supporters as well as players.

Riewoldt kicked 5last week and they still lost.
Ablett kicked 9 in the 1989 GF and Geelong lost.
Even if Kennedy has a day out it doesn’t mean they win.
I think Moore is a superior player to the Sack, especially in the key back role. But having not played for eight weeks I doubt Darce will come in. If he did I doubt it would be for Sack.
I think on balance the side stays unchanged. Making a change now could really upset morale in the back half. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

We keep Kennedy and Darling to 6 or less and we'll win.
I expect our boys will burst out of the blocks again. The players we can run through the midfield and that manic pressure will make them fumble. I'm tipping a 5 goal to 1 first quarter which will keep West Coast playing catch up footy all day. They'll come within a couple of goals at some stage and we'll kick out again. Pies by 4 or 5 goals. _________________ Billy Picken, the great No. 25 in the sky! |
