Probably, in retrospect, but hindsight is 20/20. Either might have broken down in Q1. Our defence was not the reason we lost. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Weather f*&ked us over
F*&k Jane Bunn up her ample arse.
She said rain and it was sunny and dry.
That killed us. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

Very proud of the players and the coaches for their effort this season. Well done to them all.
However, going in we knew that
- When the Eagles take 90 marks in a game this season, they win 15-0
-When Kennedy and Darling play, they win 12-0
As i had said all week, we needed to select another tall, my preference Moore, to play in defence today. Aish was superfluous to our needs. He didn't provide run and he wasn't an avenue to kick to out of defence. He suited us against Richmond, but Eagles play two talls up forward plus a resting ruck. Horses for courses.
Additionally, we struggled to find targets up the line to kick out to. Pressure built in the last quarter, in particular, as they rebounded the ball. Vardy takes a grab and goals, Kennedy another...
I had watched Moore at training in the past 4 weeks. His hamstring showed no signs of hampering him. He ran at full tilt, he backed into packs, he leapt for marks. I know that Buckley declared him unfit, but he had not broken down first game back and had done his injury 8 weeks ago. Moore himself had dput his hand up to play in the past 2 weeks, unlike when he was coming into the QF. Moore is faster, taller and stronger than Goldsack. I think this was an opportunity missed.
The addition of May and a fit Moore will make quite a difference to our flexibility next year. We have the runners. We needed more aerial capability to beat the Eagles. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

Blame Jane Dunn and the weather.

Couldn’t play Moore with 12 mins of match simulation at training and expect him to last 2 hours in a brutal match. Possibly could take a punt on Reid instead of Aish, but I was happy to run with a team that was match hardened.
In the end they beat us at the coalface which was our strength, they got enough supply and should have put us away in the last. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

If we played Moore we probably lose by 10 goals, so would have been much easier to take |

We didn't play horses for courses and you're right Aish played a typical James Aish game:
* 7 possessions
* nullified his opponent Venables
* chip kicks sidewards with no penetration
Moore should have been risked _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

We got smashed in contested marks coming out of defensive 50. Wouldn't have happened with Moore playing. Was that the difference? Maybe but we could have been a little smarter with our options. _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

It was a brutal game.
We needed match fit players.
The back half by and large stood up.
It was some mid field players who stuffed up. |

Moore would have been handy.It was noticible that we were getting beaten in the marking contests around the ground.One more tall could have made a difference. |
