Regardless of how bad we played, a clear touched ‘goal’ let stand, and a goal one second after 3/4 time siren, cost us a win. At the end of the day, it’s all about the scoreboard, and we were cheated by the touches goal,
Not to mention Steele taken around the neck in the centre square in the final minute, Stepho down the field free kick was a joke (player fell as he kicked, barely even touched him), and kick falls short into Docker hands surrounded by 4 defenders.

That's bullshit. One decision didn't make a difference. Freo were the better team. We got some lucky umpiring calls too. |

Can't beat WA teams on our own dung heap? Think the flag dream is over now.
Well done to Beams last week on his hospital handball to Wells, which killed our X-factor player. |
Well, it's good that Beans has done at least one memorable thing all year, I suppose. |

Bloody oath. Missing that is disgraceful. Somehow the AFL will come out and say they got it right. _________________ carn the mighty pies! |

This has been coming for a long time now. We’ve been playing poorly for weeks now and just getting over the line, but our luck ran out today.Just a woeful performance today all around, and as someone else said ,too many plodders in the team.I’d like to know how Thomas gets a game every week when he does nothing, and Phillips skills are deplorable. |

What about mihocek missing 10m out right in front, varcoe marking and playing on with a second to go in the quarter. Really shown today that we are not a great side. The stat at the start was telling. Geelong have won 16 qtrs and the Pies 8. Not sure what the timeframe was but still it shows we are not a top 2 side.
The connection from our back to fwds stinks. Mids that again don’t run both ways. Our backline is holding up and you have to applaud them.
Beams is either injured or disinterested.
All day the sharked Grundy’s taps. I fear we have been found out and our game plan isn’t holding up.
Still, I’d rather have won ugly with work to do then lose the last 7 games. _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after. |

The better team won, no doubt. Too many passengers today. We got destroyed in the midfield - aside from Pendles, who virtually played a lone hand. I thought Freo were excellent on the other hand.
Still, I'm not that unhappy. The 7 straight wins papered over a ton of cracks, so now that's been ripped away everyone can take a deep breath, get stuff sorted, work out what really is our best 22, refocus and reload. It's not the end of the world by any means - sometimes you need that kick up the backside to remind you that half-arsing it, not going in hard enough, and making stupid errors under no pressure are simply not good enough. _________________ I, for one, welcome our new black and white overlords |

while the points would have been nice, we made to many errors and had players down. Take the loss and improve |

My thoughts exactly. We've been just getting away with wins in the last few games and I hope too, that this gives our boys a much needed lift in desperation level. Some of them looked suitably despondent after the final siren, which is encouraging. some may have forgotten what it's like to lose.
We looked lack lustre and dare I say, a bit tired today. One more game before the mid-season rest. |

No & nor should it.
Take your chances 'cause you miss those & sides get the run on.

Ite all ok people. Dockers were better than us. I do have to wonder though why de goey chose to slow play down with 2 minutes left on the clock.
Anyway, we move on.

It's not the reason we lost, but AFL need to look into it. It would be devastating for a finals game to be lost through such a glaring official error. |
