When is next season scheduled to start?

Now the season's over, I can try to find out how many draws there were (should be quick and easy) and how many scoreless draws (may be slow and painful). Those numbers are stunningly low, it seems.

Season is scheduled to start on September 12.

Great! Not too long to wait. (Players may be tired though... or did they get their rest during lockdown?)

................................

By my count, this season there were 92 draws in 380 games, which comes to 24.2%. I'd like to see how that compares with other leagues. No draw death here!

The number of 0-0 draws will take longer to find out.

For comparison, by my count, in Serie A there were 85 draws in 380 games, which comes to 22.4%.

That's even lower!

I have to wonder about the standard of Serie A, though, when one club can win every year for almost a decade.

^ Juventus has had a monopoly on the Serie A title for the last decade, but they were weaker this year.

Inter Milan, Lazio and Atalanta are all quality teams in their right. It was exciting to keep an eye on the title race this year.

For comparison, by my count, in the Bundesliga there were 68 draws in 306 games, which comes to 22.2%.

So it looks like EPL does not have an especially low draw rate. I wonder about clearly inferior leagues like the A-league.

But wait!

For comparison, by my count, in La Liga there were 105 draws in 380 games, which comes to 27.6%.

Much higher!

For comparison, by my count, in the 2019 Japanese J1 League there were 72 draws in 306 games, which comes to 23.5%.

Different region, much lower standard, but the draw rate is pretty similar!
