Getting score updates on a plane to Darwin and seeing that we rolled the eagles made my weekend. Thank you Pies so happy.

Allen started on the ground and pretty sure he got Maynard. Allen didn’t stay on long and then they brought on Cameron. ...
Moore went down and Maynard moved to Darling but at the same time Cripps went off, so both teams had to shuffle their team around in the same part of the ground.
Pretty sure W H E started forward, albeit briefly but the two early injuries threw both teams out and it took a while for the dust to settle on the right match ups. W H E certainly put some time into Allen on occasions but they were at their most dangerous when Cameron replaced Allen early in the game.

I'm wondering again what Allen's exact size is, because on the Nic Nat injury the media news says Allen could do some rucking:
"The man who benefited most from that injury, premiership ruckman Nathan Vardy, is still sidelined, leaving mature recruit Keegan Brooksby as next man up, although the Eagles could reluctantly use Oscar Allen as backup to incumbent recruit Tom Hickey, despite his recent dominance up forward." |

K, we can only go by what the records say about his height but he was drafted as a mobile tall forward. He only played forward in the championships and I would seriously doubt if he does more than a few minutes rucking for them.
He’s a good player but when Cameron came on and got off the chain after replacing him, Allen seemed to either be on the pine or playing further up the ground after quarter time.
As P4S has already mentioned, when we lost Moore and Maynard went to Darling, it was a game changer. Not only did Maynard nullify him in the air but he smashed him at ground level. |

is Nic Nat injured? Who was it who criticized the pies for its gentle approach with Shaz and used Nic Nat as an example?

I agree. They were telling moments. Checkers' mark in particular was enormous. I sensed he knew it, too. The way he waved the ball after the clean mark signaled, at least to me, that he knew that was the match won.
Stirring stuff.

Just watching the replay.
"When West Coast score 75 points or more they are 10-0. They've just scored their 76th point." - BT.
He said that with around 12 mins left in the 3rd quarter.
They scored one more point for the rest of the game.

Another interesting stat was that West Coast have never lost at Optus Stadium when leading at the end of any qtr.
We also broke the rules with that one! |

| Roughead, Mihocek and Pendlebury were named in the AFL website's team of the week. Big accolade for the first two against the reigning premier. Well done to them. |

| Interestingly, Jonathon Brown last night mentioned that Pendles played mainly on the wing, with Crisp in the middle. Watching on TV I hadn't realised that. Maybe it's a sign of what's to come with our team going forward. |

There’s a couple teams who have put their long time play makers out to the wing. Selwood and McRae ( and another one who escapes me ) have spent big chunks on the wing. You have to bat deep in the midfield in the first place to be afforded that luxury. I’m guessing the wings have become so important with 6 6 6, clubs want their best players available to support more in the back half.
If Crisp continues his form and Adams makes a successful comeback, we may very well see more of Pendlebury standing the line at centre bounces.

| I don't know about you lot but I found it hard not to replay the build up to the last De Goey goal. the contested ball with Sheed which sent him spinning was as good as Swans palm off during Anzac day 5 years ago. Talking about bulldozing power Jordy has some strength and timing. |
