OH brilliant so out of a whole two weeks of trades, all we got was a guy who has played one senior game for the swans, while the Cats can seemingly recruit any bastard they want ????
I am so so underwhelmed, a whole two weeks, for bugger all, really. sigh. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Jenkins and a late future pick to the Cats in return for pick 37 from the pussies. Seems like the Crows did alright out of a bloke who was never going to be there in 2020 |

Do you like Jane Fonda videos? They could pick you up. P35 can recommend a few. |

Yep, my thoughts too. We must be really stretched with player payments (i.e. I don't think it's a media beat up) _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing |

Wow Pies. All I got out of that is that we can't spend any money despite Wells, Goldsack etc going off the books. Well, delistings will be interesting. _________________ Get back on top. |

I might be jumping the gun but it looks like we didn’t achieve our goal of moving up into the first round either.

Here are the details of the Aish deal:
Fremantle send a future second-round pick and a future fourth-round pick to Collingwood. In exchange, the Pies sent Aish, pick 69 and a future third-rounder. |

Here in a nutshell is why Collingwood is the archetypal mediocre club. We are a constant tease. Promise much - rarely deliver.
Hawthorn pick up Jon Patton. Geelong pick up Josh Jenkins. Either player would have been handy to plonk in our forward line. FFS we struggled to kick goals this year. So we pick up a Sydney reject who played one game in two years and lose Aish who has been more than serviceable.
Obviously salary cap issues are a factor.
And where are our indigenous players? There are some clubs right now who have more indigenous players on their list than Collingwood has had in my lifetime. Surely there's a pattern there!
If we think our list from the past two years is good enough we are kidding ourselves. The Bulldogs are certain to go past us with their pickups. Ditto Hawthorn. Brisbane is already there. The Giants ain't going anywhere, and Richmond are odds on for three flags in four years. Even the Saints have improved their list.
If Grundy goes next year we are stuffed for at least a generation. Underwhelmed? Piesnchess is right! |

Dunn Goldy Wells were on peanuts this year as is Broomhead. |

This has been a very sensitive topic this past week, but I guess there won't be much disagreement now. |

SO, we are broke, skint, nothing in the kitty ?? Is that the way of it, we have NO room in our cap, despite several retirements, and aish gone ??
I really thought we had Jenkins, but he lands with Handbags, who seem to have a bottomless pit of cap move, endless cash. on the side ??

Spot on. We need to win a flag next year otherwise we’ll be out of contention for some time. _________________ Cancel the Cancel Culture. |

I cant work it out any other way other than the fact that we are definitely paying overs for some players (more than they could get at other clubs).
As no player seems to be playing for the jumper anymore, I cant see this problem ever being solved. Something fishy about the Jenkins story.
Why'd we go cold?
I agree we should have addressed our tall forward issue. Jenkins was a cheap option. Bruce would have also been a cheap trade.
No idea why we didnt seem to make an effort. The only answer is the cap. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |
