If I had to guess they will suspend the season with rounds 1-4 or more pushed back. That would leave the Granny around Oct 20 with the two byes removed. I am beginning to think they won't want no crowds. Clubs can't afford no gate revenue and membership refunds/credits. There will have to be practice matches in April behind closed gates. The AFLW is facing a huge problem.

Personally, I think the MCG is more worried about fans stealing the toilet paper.

I think we definitely need a laugh track.

Benny Hill music.

Gill McLachlan isn't even fronting media, they're sending out a media statement. Is he locked in his panic room?

I wonder if he's jetting off to one of these?

Having to play games without the might of the magpie army behind them may have a significant negative impact on the success of our playing group, unfortunately for us clubs like North, St.K, Dogs, GCFC, GWS & Carlton will not notice any difference and will have an unfair advantage. Sad

It'll be like playing at Subiaco, silence when we kick a goal. And I reckon the Aussies testing positive at the ski resort in Aspen must be Melbourne supporters.

refund situation will be interesting. Ticketmaster tickets being refunded, no word on members though.

Things are looking really bad.
I have no doubt the season will be cancelled.
It is going to get really ugly with nation wide shut downs.
I wasn't worried until today.
But things are sp4inning out of control far quicker than i thought.

If cox has the ball near the goals they should play the benny hill theme.

The biggest threat to the people are the people themselves.

Stay calm, don’t listen or read media. Love thy neighbour and be there for each other. Keep warm, hydrated and eat healthy. Try and go about your life without panic and anxiety. Stay loyal to our Club.

Have faith in your saviour and our lord.

And just try and chill out. We live in a great nation with wonderful natural beauty. And remember greed is our modern virus that has ruined so much. Let’s use corona to fight against selfishness and greed. This is our warning and opportunity.

Collingwood is our Club and no virus (Corona or Corporate) will destroy us.

Go Pies and bless you wonderful Collingwood family.

Fair to say this decision has sucked the life out of season 2020.

Not convinced it's even necessary at present given the extremely low instances of confirmed infection (199 cases/3 deaths) within a population of 25 million.

Health advice recommending anyone in a high risk group (elderly/preexisting health condition) to not attend could have sufficed while people with barely a sniffle or ones who have recently returned from overseas travel could have been encouraged to stay away.

Fair chance those who are overly paranoid or panicked about coronavirus would have stayed home anyway and crowd numbers would have been way down.
