But the pies had the best of them all im not complaing but the blues had them when they were at their worst. It wreaked their careers going to the blues. |

The treatment of both Betheres and Freeborn late 2003 by Madhouse still disgusts me.
We need hard bodies going into that GF, and got walked all over.
His obsession with Lokan, Cole, Kinnear, Walker [Dunderklumpen], Williams [omitted], and a green Reece Shaw, over established senior players was pivotal in that trainwreck of a GF. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

I knew that he was a pretty good artist and that art had been his main activity after his AFL career ended. But this article from the April edition of The Monthly shows what an extraordinary human being Rupert is. It also tells you a lot about Indigenous art and the town of Tennant Creek.

thank you so so much for the article on Rupert, I am a friend of Rupe and he gets in touch occasionally. He is a great human and I think the world of him. Did not hear any rumblings when he left but Mick let a few go at the end of 2003. Yes Rupe should have played in 2003 GF however they won Williamstown GF which I was at and went to the after party. thanks again |

Normally I kind of barrack for an ex Collingwood player against other teams except against us but in this case, I couldn’t care less. As someone who doesn’t worship the all mighty dollar, I found the whole drawn out saga a very sad episode. BTW, this was the case with Grundy as well and towards the end, I was also apathetic about him staying at Collingwood 🙄 _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination.
