Herald-Crumb reporting hubs are the go. Any word from our club or players how they feel about being locked in a quarantine hub at the MCG for 6 months? Treloar just had a baby, Crisp has young kids, I reckon they'd be against being locked up for months and only allowed out for games. |

Maybe the AFL can have fan hubs as well, isolate a group of fans for each club in a hub and only let them attend games. Any volunteers? |

In a flash. As long as the other.. err... hubbies are covid-free and the AFL pays me what they pay the players. |

Getting to the point where the thing will be eliminated from Aus in the next month or so.
We could get back to normal and hubs and all the other silly things
could be binned.
Although I really can't see fans being let in this year. |

I doubt fans will be attending any matches this year.
Though I can envisage a season going ahead starting from the end of June if we keep tracking along well in managing the spread of the disease. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

I say they can Bring Family with them but with the Government saying they are looking to Relax the Rules with the Lockdown next month IF everything stays good.
They might be able to visit the Players/Family.
I have Big Doubts that us fans will be able to go to any games this year at AFL Level _________________ I am Da Man |

Wouldn’t it make sense to do something like this for the next few months:
One hub in WA with 9 teams
One hub in QLD with the other 9 teams
Rounds 2-9 will be played over those 8 weeks
Warmer climates over winter which reduces the possibility of spread. _________________ Beware the swooping Magpie. |

IF the AFL want to start the Season Soon they might have to go Interstate as Daniel Andrews won't allow any Sport Back anytime soon _________________ I am Da Man |

Dave I hinted towards what will happen in my previous post.
It’s no coincidence WA and QLD have been the first to roll back their restrictions.

Oh ffs, do you think Vic players with families will agree to living in a Qld detention centre for at least 3 months? There'll be a revolt. This reeks of the AFL thinking of $$$ for the Suns and Lions. And who do you think is pushing for footy to start again? The gambling sponsors and TV networks, they don't care how it's done as long as they can make money from it -- and that's a concern for the clubs, who are the winners and losers in this?
And how do you think players with drug habits will go living in 24/7 quarantine? |

Unfortunately the dictator running Victoria won't let it happen. He is worse than corona that bloke. Other states are sensible and starting to ease their restrictions yet in Vic we're not adjusting.
It's a disgrace. |

Really? I think we are doing it right. When it is all over maybe you should think about moving to get away from dictatorship? _________________ Cheers big ears |
