Am I the only person who is indifferent to football returning this year or not?

The season is already compromised as it is, and with the inability to attend games during the season, it's not going to be the same.

In the circumstances, I almost wouldn't want win a premiership this year.

If the finals series is played under lock down (maybe it'll be opened up a bit by then, but without spectators), it'll be our best chance to win the premiership.

As the coach said, just win it and don't care about asterisks.

Yes you would. If the season recommences and we make the GF you will be at home screaming at the tv. You won’t deny that.

A Collingwood GF with zero spectators would be a dream come true. The spectators are not our friend in GFs.

That’s right. Ten minutes into the last quarter of the 90 GF some Pies supporters near us started singing our song. They were threatened with violence by more sensible Pies supporters if they didn’t shut up!

Senator Conroy was threatened with the same by Eddie for the same reason!

Very sensible comments by Bucks.

I have the same doubts as to whether it's worth pushing through with a season.

You must feel confident then Jezza, that if there isn't a season in 2020, there can still be a viable one in 2021?

Eddie said tonight on Footy Classified that there's a 500 million dollar shortfall to make some ground on, before even considering what 2021 might look like.
It's hard to know just how precarious a position our great game is in. The Adelaide CEO who is on the finance committee would only say "it's ugly". I'm certain the AFL would probably not want footy supporters to know the exact situation regarding this.

Eddie also emphasized that the hubs are the worst possible scenario and everyone in the AFL war cabinet is hoping that they can miraculously be avoided.

Good point K . Also, perhaps desperate measures for desperate times, as well as a politically savvy move.

I am quite okay for the AFL to lose Docklands funding the shortfall, along with the teams who call that dump their home ground. So carry on

I heard on the radio news this morning that President Eddie has come out said the idea was complete rubbish. There is more chance of him joining the Carlton cheer squad than getting these young men to agree to be away from their partners and families for 20 weeks.
