Naturally, the greatest batsman of the last 70 years remains top of the Test rankings - Steve Bradsmith is on 911 points, ... |
Flat-Track Bully Smith is not even the best batsman in the country at the moment. The best batsman in the country, Marnus, who of course has a higher Test average than FTB Smith (this number being the only reason anyone overestimates FTB's standing), has a non-Test first-class average of little over 38. That is good indication of how low Test batting has sunk in this era of FTBs and mediocrity.

As for Oz... Well, this is a team that could not defeat an England team that was bundled out for 85 by Ireland.
We truly are in an era of mediocrity. |

Except, of course, for the Great Steve Bradsmith, who towers over all. |

Smith is a flat-track bully.
The evidence is overwhelming.
The excuses for his failures from him or his sycophants are absurd. (e.g. it's just silly him continuing to tell every journalist that Archer "did not get me out", when Archer's harmless bouncer almost knocked him out because of his defective technique.) |

Yes, they could .... and did. Twice, in the last Ashes series. _________________ Donny.

Four draws would probably have been less painful than two wins and two losses.
People talk about retaining the Ashes as if it was a win. It wasn't. The retention was not related to that series, and of course countries are always favoured at home.
We are in an era of cricketing mediocrity for sure. |
