So we started 2020 with bushfires and online fights about climate change

Then we moved into a pandemic with panic buying, lockdowns across the world, people discovering working from home as an alternative to commuting and online fights about China and different politicians.

Then an African American named George was killed by a white cop on video for all to see and a whole lot of pent up energy and frustration gets released in world wide anti racism demonstrations, protests, vandalism and violence.

We're almost half way through 2020, WTF else can 2020 throw at us?

Floods? We're hitting new records on rainfall and cold weather

Pestilence? I dunno, pick one. Mice, rats, locusts, vegans, cane toads, moths, mosquito's?

Full on economic depression, stock market crash, Taco Bell wins the franchise wars so all restaurants become Taco Bell?

Carlton wins the premiership? (Ok, that's a stretch)

Put your Nostradamus or tinfoil hat on, what ever is close at hand, what's next?

I'll go with the following:

1. Queen dies
2. San Andreas fault catastrophic earthquake kills hundreds of thousands / or
Yellowstone volcano erupts killing millions.

Agree an assassination on trump is brewing also the queen suffers a life threatening illness too. I’m also predicting a second wave of COVID but I hope I’m wrong. And a terror attack to round out the year in a level of September 11 scale this would round out a very eventful year also a start of a Cold War between China North Korea verses USA Australia too

Lest we forget the US nearly started a war with Iran at the beginning of the year. Suffice it to say a few things have happened since!

The USA, of course. Starting a war is Trump's last best chance to stay in power.

The other one is harder to guess.

Not Russia (because Trump would never do anything against the interests of his paymaster Putin.
Not China (because China is strong enough to be scary).
Not the UK (because Boris is just about Trump's last admirer).
Not France or North Korea or India or Israel or Pakistan (because they have nukes).
Not anywhere else that has a Trump Hotel.
Iran is a fair chance.

Locusts already causing major issues in East Africa

Gigantic new locust swarms hit East Africa

New invasions are hitting just as growing season gets underway, threatening millions with hunger.

Lemasulani, 40, lives with his family in Oldonyiro, where he herds goats that survive on shrubs and trees. He’d previously heard of locusts only from stories passed down in the community. That changed earlier this year when the largest invasion of the voracious insects in decades descended on East Africa. With their seemingly bottomless appetites, locusts can cause devastating agricultural losses. An adult desert locust can munch through its own bodyweight, about 0.07 ounces, of vegetation every day. Swarms can swell to 70 billion insects—enough to blanket New York City more than once—and can destroy 300 million pounds of crops in a single day. Even a more modest gathering of 40 million desert locusts can eat as much in a day as 35,000 people.
