As has already been posted, Stephenson cut his junior days as an outside mid. His U18 championships were exceptional up on the wing and that included a bag of goals along the way.
You don’t invest a top 10 pick on a stay at home small forward pocket.
At some point, he will spend a lot more time up the ground.
It’s probably robbing Peter to pay Paul for now but you need good ball handlers on the outside because in the end, they are the players who make a forward pockets job easy anyway.
Watching his up the ground development will be “ interesting “. |

I don't care if he tosses the ball around like a Greek Salad prior to kicking for goal, as long as he kicks at least 4 from 5 with this process.
