Hi folks what does everyone think of our fixture i think its a shocker tough one . I notice richmond have had all to easy too and just limping over the line. What happens after the perth hub? We play cats, eagles and freo next 3 matches not sure after that. I hope we get a reprieve somewhat. We still have not played crows swans roos or dees yet.
We seam to have the rough end of the stick and the afl has not made it easy for us either.
Whats the thoughts on our fixture and the arrangement with the hubs.

^ I think they're doing their best in a pretty difficult situation. No question you'd be feeling pretty happy if you already played West Coast up in Queensland last month and didn't have to face them in WA, but the draw has always contained such injustices (even if to a lesser extent). We just have to turn up wherever and beat whichever side we're playing, and to some extent every side is in the same boat this season. Maybe WA will be in lockdown in a few weeks and everyone will have to ship off to SA, who knows?

Agree but Collingwood has got the rough end of the stick where richmond have had it too easy there are settling well on the comfy confines of the gold coast and brisbane. Collingwood after perth hub like to see them in an adl sa hub playing crows then say dees then rounding it out v power. Or even staying there longer. I know that sydney will be in covid lockdown like melbourne is now in a few weeks times.
I know some health professionals they reckon melbourne will be in lockdown well into october at least. And melbourne will have stage 4 level by next week for at least 2 months.
Also i know the grounds director and one of the managers at the mcg mcc they said they have had their last match for the year at the MCG also the ground staff in the next few weeks are starting to prepare the MCG for the cricket 2020/2021 season.
My tip the grand final will be played in perth and the bulk of the finals will be played at both brisbane and perth i cant see it in sydney due to the covid situation but sydney are throwing alot of $$$$$$ to host though. I would like to see adleaide host some finals too.
As in teams in the gf mix are:
Brisbane
GWS
Port
West Coast and
Collingwood

Its probably the best year to get a double header in Perth, both WA teams have been struggling so no excuses.

Eagles starting to find form. We'll get them at their peak.

That's true Eddie.... Freo are a bottom 4 team. WCE are a little tougher, but not the same team that won the flag. But no doubt the Eagles will lift when they face the Pies, especially if there's fans in attendance.

Optus Stadium in Perth is the best ground outside of Victoria. I hope they play the GF there at night. It's a great venue for night games and this unprecedented year gives us a good excuse to have the first night GF.

No chance.

Sounds good on paper, but what finish time would it end up being in the eastern states? It would finish well after younger fans bed times.

Shocked No chance? I hope you're wrong.

An aside, with all the teams headed to Queensland "The Barassi Line" has been overrun.

They just beat 17th and 18th, that's not finding form, that's a lucky draw

Yet Collingwood can't beat Richmond!

Collingwood has only beaten St Kilda of any team in the top 11. 1 win, 1 draw and 2 losses. Better hope for some bottom 4 games so Buckley can look good.
