It's hard to see them winning a game in 2020. And certainly not enough to avoid the wooden spoon.

2017 Grand Finalists to 2020 Wooden Spooners. Had they knocked off Richmond that day, maybe this fall wouldn't hurt them so bad. But sheesh, what a downfall is has become.

It was time for Betts to go, but they had Charlie Cameron. He's now a sensation for the Lions. Josh Jenkins has not been able to get on the park for Geelong, but Hugh Greenwood and Alex Keath have played every game so far for their new clubs.

Mitch McGovern has been ok for the blues, but far from a star. Jake Lever has been disappointing for the Dees, as has Sam Jacobs for GWS.

So perhaps there isn't anything to really look at on their list right now? If anyone wants to abandon this already sunken ship, is there anyone worth taking onboard?

Over 28s:
David MacKay (32). You'd think is in his last season.

Bryce Gibbs (31). Absolutely not. The missing piece to Adelaides success has been the complete opposite.

Rory Sloane (30). Little bit injury prone these days. But you know what, I'd prefer him on the list to Beams right now. Very likeable player, but hard to see a fair trade being able to be made for a 30 year old that is, after all, still their captain.

Taylor Walker (30). If he was 27, maybe. Was once a 50 goal a year scorer. Dont think he is capable of that anymore. There's better options to fill FF.

Tom Lynch (29). The ship has sailed on this one. We could have nabbed him a few seasons ago. Not worth it now.

Brodie Smith (28 ). Still a handy small defender, but doesn't fill a need for Collingwood. Could help another club.

Paul Seedsman (28 ). Been there, done that.

Daniel Talia (28 ). Key defender. Can still do the job. Do we still need a key back?

Kyle Hartigan (28 ). Talia is the better option.

Players that have been rumoured to leave in the past:
Brad Crouch. Isn't a mega star, but still a decent midfielder. However, he is asking for huge dollars as a free agent and thats something that puts him in the category of yeah-nah. Drop a few hundred-thousand and I think he'd add to out midfield.

Riley Knight. Is a small-medium forward that doesn't kick enough goals.

Matt Crouch. Same as his brother. But not a free agent. Does get a bit of the pill.

Jordan Gallucci. Isn't happy in Adelaide. Had some injury issues and still yet to cement his place in the side. Has shown signs.

Players they must hold onto:
Reilly O'Brien. Has become a very decent ruck.

Tom Doedee. If he can get his fitness and form back to what he showed only 2 seasons ago.

Lachlan Murphy. 21 year old that kicked 20 goals last year.

Fisher McAsey. In his first year. May become the clubs next star FB.

Darcy Fogarty. The injuries have been a worry, but at 195cm, the 20 year old FF needs to be given a bit more time. Have heard rumors about his frustrations.

Wayne Milera. Another with some injury niggles. Still only 22 and at his best, can be a star.

Rory Laird. I think their best player right now. Still only 26. Would fit in nicely at every other club, but they need to keep him.

Rory Atkins. Still only 26 and can get enough of the pill. Hasn't been playing recently, is he injured?

Jake Kelly. Has hardly missed a game and has 82 games to his name. 25 years old. Is he an upgrade on Scharenberg though? Makes you think.
