We have two unheralded AFL players who came to us without all the hooplas
One is Jack Crisp and the other is Darcy Cameron
Both not flashy but boy do they work their a——-es off Never ever give in _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Cameron is a football player, Cox is an athlete. I know which one I prefer. |

There's no consistency in the way Cox plays. That's the problem. Good one week then poor the next. Even good one quarter then poor the next quarter. You can't carry players in the team like that. |

Athlete?
He’s hardly athletic
I’d say Cox is a tall sports person playing the wrong sport in an experiment gone wrong.... which shouldn’t happen in professional sport. _________________ Beware the swooping Magpie. |

Ha ha...Actually for a 7 ft tall player Cox is quite athletic, much more than Sandilands ever was. His main problem is he doesn't read the game or the ball well enough in the air. That's simply because no aspect of the game comes natural to him. |

you are better off burying the rest of you and leaving your bum exposed. Bourke street needs more bicycle racks |
Coming from someone with a Freddy Mercury avatar, not sure if bicycle parking is really your primary concern here...
I actually thought this was a Phillip Adams quote but when I mentioned it to my mother she informed me he said he would "bare his bum in Bourke St" (if such and such happened). For 33 years I have been sure he said bury (although I did wonder at the time how that would be achieved) but I have to admit bare makes much more sense _________________ https://forever.collingwoodfc.com.au/sav-sinks-the-dockers/ |

I've come to a similar conclusion regards Cox.
He's a fine athlete. He's a competitor. He's a team player.
However, as a late convert to AFL, aspects of the game elude him.
Judging the flight of the ball, bodywork, how to successfully stage for a free kick (without making it obvious) etc. he struggles with.
I still think that he can make a contribution but, clearly, he is a player with limitations and it may be too late in the day to address these. |

Cox has done remarkably well but it is a positive that he has been passed by someone younger.
We'd have real issues if none of the younger players were making significant progress.
2010 was a success because older players like Lockyer and O'Bree were surpassed by others. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

We are going to have a hole in tall defence personnel if Moore is knackered
Would the other Darcy fill it if perchance this Ash guy gets going in fwd line

We know he didn't grow up with game but in my opinion, he seems to read it well enough - General play & flight of the ball. In fact, i think he's a clever player. That is for example, in followup play at ground level I've seen him knock the ball out to advantage or tap it to space for his team mate to run onto,.. intentionally. Some very neat & quick thinking.
He'd be more valuable if he could hold his ground in a marking contest and pummel through any anyone trying to block his leads.
In the future when human contact is banned in the AFL he will rip it up!
Well, banned for games played in the sate of CoVIC-19. |

Have to say he plays his best football when he's angry. Other players in his situation have made the transition to AFL footy. It appears to me he doesn't attack the football. Could be why he failed at soccer and basketball at the higher level. He relies on his athletic skills to get him through when it's really concentration for long periods that lets him down. Doing it against Richmond in the 2018 PF shows he can do it. Like Mark McGough on the MCG in the 2002 Anzac Day game. The skills and ability to play the game are there but there's something missing that holds you back from having a promising AFL career. |

Not sure what his trade worth would be, I don't think he's totally useless.. and he may be 'better' under another system.
I suspect he may get a 1 yr deal with a new coach. _________________ All Aboard!! Choo Choo!!! |
