Agree.

And I'll say again 'we thank Cox for one great game' and now it's time for him to move on.

^ I’d give him 5 out of the 74 where he was dominant/above average. Rnd 8 2016 vs Brisbane, QB game 2018, 2nd qtr PF 2018, 2nd half GF 2018, 1st qtr EF 2020.

He dined out on that 2018 PF for a while without really delivering much thereafter.

The reason I say, '1 great game' as it stopped Richmond going back2back2back2back...

Can’t see Cox getting back now, bar injury to Cameron or Cox somehow miraculously learns to mark

How was Camerons game yesterday???
crap IMHO.
Mason has a better goal kicking average than Darcy.
He can ruck better.
And he is better at ground level.
Cameron is slightly better than Cox at marking around the ground.

Game was lost in the midfield. Cameron clunked one or two important ones, but didn't get many chances.

The comparison is with McKay. Useless when they were being towelled up in the midfield, then shone when he had more one on one chances.

Anyway, Cameron may or may not make it, but Cox is done. Move on.

Darcy Cameron is showing he can be a 30 goal and 30% Ruck time player per season. They're valuable. He is the best contested mark we have and has a tendency to clunk many during critical situations. Such consistency Cox hasn't shown over 7 years. With Ruck/Forwards in high demand at season's end maybe the Yanks highlight package can bluff a desperate club and secure us a pick in the top 40. Would be a great win for a player turning 31 at start of next season.

Mason has a better goal kicking average that Cameron.
So if Cameron can kick 30 a season then Mason can kick nearly 40.
So who is better in the ruck ...mason or Cameron.
I reckon Mason by a small margin
.

Cameron didn't have his best game, yesterday - he dropped a few he would normally clunk. He has developed well, this year, despite the generally poor performance of the team. In 75 career games, across 6 seasons, Cox has managed to kick 3 or more goals just 6 times. Cameron has done it 3 times out of 13 games so far this season. It remains to be seen how Cameron will go when Collingwood starts to play better football and give him better opportunities but he does offer more than Cox. He also looks to be on a trajectory of improvement.

One is entering the sweet spot of his career and the other isn’t.
That’s probably all I need.

Have to agree with the above. Cameron's arrow is pointed up, Cox's arrow is pointing down.
