Who cares, even if we win against Gold coast, it is clear that we will do nothing in the finals even if manage to scrape in. WHE and Stevo should be dropped but won't be, just as we will continue with our crappy handball backwards game plan. Reid offers more than Lynch or Cameron but will last one quarter before breaking down again.

We got to clean up the messy handball game and take it on . We need to rotate Daicos forward more if thomas, stevo and WHE arent performing. We know he put his head over it and can crumb better than the others.

What are the odds of an entirely new game plan being implemented at this time of the year? Quite remote I would think.

A Brisbane supporting mate mentioned to me straight after our last game that you wouldn't know whether any of our forwards could play or not given the shocking ball movement and delivery into the forward line. Fair point.

One of the problems is that none of our TALL forwards are natural forwards. It’s not their fault, it’s just our list is bereft of any quality talls who can play forward, so we really shouldn’t have any expectations. Miochek is a reformed defender, Cox is 29 and has played the game for only a few years and has the equivalent knowledge of a promising U18 footballer. Cameron, Ruscoe and Lynch are either inexperienced, ruckmen or both.

Everyone talks about height and speed as being a tall forwards one wood but natural forwards also have an ability to read the play unfolding up the ground earlier than others. Forwards have to be smart footballers.
Our tall forwards get taken to places where they are ineffectual and then don’t have the smarts to read the play better than their opponents once we retain possession up the ground. It’s one of the reasons ( but not the main one ) why we move the ball so slowly at times. At half back we need to wait for them to make position and that’s not easy when the opposition has already made best position heading back to the goal line.
Until we start introducing “ natural “ tall forwards into our forward structure, we aren’t likely to start peeling off those big scores any time soon.

Should roll the Dice and play Moore fwd for this one

Hopefully our defense holds up without him, which I think it will. And then by the time we get to the Prelim, Howe should be returning

If we play Moore forward with JDG that may give us an 'Aura' going into finals. An Aura that we don't currently have

FF) Stephenson - Moore - JDG
HF) Thomas - Mihocek - Elliot
C) Daicos - Pendlebury - T.Brown
HB) Greenwood- Madgen - Quaynor
FB) Crisp - Roughead - Maynard
Foll) Grundy - Sier - Adams

Int: Hoskin C.Brown Cox Noble

In : Degoey, Sier
Out: Lynch, Phillips

Start the game in this shape, and we may actually put a team to the sword.

Imagine your a Collingwood midfielder about to kick the ball, you look deep into the fwd line and see Moore and JDG around the goal square, what would you want to do?

Coll 15.10.100 def Rich 9.10.64

Goalkickers

Moore 5, JDG 3, Stephenson 2, Mihocek 2, Elliot 1, Daicos 1, Adams 1

Love to see that instead of:

Coll 6.9.45

Cox 2, Mihocek 2, Thomas 1, Daicos 1

It's not our forwards. The problem is delivery, keep Moore back and hope delivery is better this week against a weaker opponent.

The problem is forwards, I look at our current set-up:

Elliot Cox Thomas
Brown Mihocek Stevo

I can't picture that group combining for 10 goals

You can't win games defending, and some stage we need to kick goals. The score doesn't go backwards
