The point is Moore and Degoey together will be a huge problem for opposition. And they will create much more contests in our fwd line and create much more something out of nothing. It's scary..

IMO Moore and Degoey could be the best 1-2 fwd combination in the league if given the chance.

The other 4 names selected are secondary forwards who like to play and feed off 'key forwards'

Neither of Stephenson, Elliot, Thomas, Cox or Mihocek will drive us to a Premiership. they can be a great supporting cast but Degoey and Moore should be the main targets.

Moore & DeGoey
Cameron & Green
Kennedy & Darling
Lynch & Reiwolt
Dixon & Gray

And so on

As it stands, I cant even put 2 key names for us, who would it be?

Mihocek & Elliot? Or Stevo? Cox?

Not a good enough 1-2 sorry

And Mihocek & Degoey is not good enough combo as Mihoceks name doesn't belong with the above Company...

The best weapon you can have, is a potent forward line, I stand to be corrected

They should line up like this shooting at goal:

JDG - Moore - Stevo

Our Magpies HAVE to win this one, no iffs butts, or maybes, this is a must win. Do it for Pendles, what a wonderful player, then when he breaks the club record, following week, do it again, against Port. First, beat the Gold Coast Beachboys, thats an absolute must, we will be nicely rested, for once, so no excuses, just win, put his mob back in the sand.

Against the Lions we had 9 players with 1 tackle, 1 with zero. (10)
Against the Blues we had 1 player with 1 tackle, 3 with zero. (4)
Against the Roos we had 6 players with 1 tackle, 5 with zero. (11)
Against the Dees we had 9 players with 1 tackle, 4 with zero. (13)

I reckon part of the Collingwood DNA is missing when effectively half of our players are not laying more than 1 tackle per game.
It's not going to necessarily win your a game if you win the tackle count but tackles and contested possessions show endeavour. Hopefully we see a reversal of this trend Monday week.

I think 2019 is a better indicator of their potential, not sure I would use 2020 as a yardstick of anything

Durability is also a factor which is why I ranked the players by output not averages. It's no good averaging 5 goals a game if you miss half the season (Joe Daniher says Hi)

I started following the Pies in 1977. So I saw us lose four GFs in my first five years as a supporter. Embarassed

the issue in the forward line isnt the personnel...its the teamwork.

Blocks for lead's for big forwards.
running/leading patterns
Front and center

all the things that no stats shows.

Surprising comment from you dude 😲 Yes we can if the cards fall the right way. We may not be good enough to win the flag but I tell you that what, when we get our better players back from injury, we can scare the living daylights out of some other finals teams who would be dreading playing us.
