The vision of him on the floor at half time with physio grimacing and Walsh nearby probably highlights he has been playing under severe duress. Rest him this week, have the bye and then come out fresh in first final.

Yeah
But remember he had a 9 day break against the Gold coast.
He maybe carrying an injury that needs a lot longer than a 2 week break.
But hey rest him and bring in Cameron and see how he goes in the big league.

Maybe we should ruck Cox and select a tall forward?

I wouldn't mind Lynch getting another crack, though it's a risk given how much is at stake. Having said that, one good thing is that we don't even name the team until Sunday – so if GWS beat St Kilda on Friday night, the result of the Port game may not really affect who we play in Week 1, and so we might get the opportunity to rest Grundy and a couple of others.

Maybe we should let the coaching staff and club medicos make the call.

Remember, he got through the game OK and will have a week off to refresh before the finals.

Cant afford to rest him unless he's actually injured - if he seriously needs a rest, camp him in the fwd line

He looks despondent- for a bloke we are so used to seeing full of energy and positivity- after the game looked lost and not much interest in singing the club song.
Need to remember he is still young and not sure if he has his long term GF in the hub, which would make life difficult no doubt.

I feel Grundy is someone who needs to keep playing- he wants to compete- and am pretty certain he has a super streak of games played.

Agree with TBWCW- play him unless injured and rest forward if needed

If St Kilda or WB lose, we can’t move from 6-7. If either result happens, I expect Grundy to miss through “managed”.

I don't think that would work.

If we lose theres a very good chance we play the Eagles in an Elimination Final in Perth. They could be the walking wounded at the moment. They should have Yeo, Sheed, Shuey, Hutchings all back for the first week of finals.

. Lynch is absolutely hopeless. Was gifted a game and will never play again

Not disagreeing with you. Him playing fwd has never been one of his strengths.. but I'd be loathed to not play him if he's fit.

You mean the club won't abide by what we decide here on Nicks? Very Happy
