Hi guys. Just thinking about the old trade/draft forum.

In GD we have a thread with close to 50 pages. Would it be better to bring back the old forum? Or is a single thread the way to go?

With the draft and trade period coming up, it's going to become a very busy thread, and no doubt we'll see a bunch of new ones started along with the good old "Welcome to" threads.

If i want to talk about Shaun Higgins, for example, would I just ask about him in that thread, or would new thread in a new forum be the way to go?

Thanks for the feedback, Presti35.

The 50-page thread is useful, in season, as a place where general speculation and ideas about drafting and trading can be aired. A few threads remain separate (eg, Ben Brown and Jordan de Goey) because they seem to be of broader interest and seem to be a bit more substantial, rather than merely speculative.

Now Collingwood's season has ended, we expect GD's main focus will be trading and drafting. At this stage, we aren't planning to rush back to a separate forum - you probably remember that when we did have the DTM forum it was difficult to get some to post in the correct forum and so that just created two different places where people could post new threads. That made it harder - rather than easier - for people to find out what was going on with Collingwood's trading and drafting. Of course, threads that aren't to do with Collingwood's trading or drafting should be in the Other AFL forum.

You should feel free to start in GD what you consider to be appropriate draft/trade threads that are based on reasonably reliable sources (precisely as, eg, you have done with non-Collingwood stories in Other AFL).
