Can we somehow convince the Suns to pay overs for any of our players?
They have picks 5 and 6 to offer up.
Treloar not leaving, would they take Jordy?

Well JDG and dad are now looking for a proper player manager to do the dealing. They realised self-representing is a big screw up.

They have 5 or 6, not both.

This obsession to move DeGoey on is amazing, we are sounding like Richmond supporters of several years ago.

Look at Martin now!

True - 5 or 6 - typo
DeGoey's value is interesting.
Clearly he is not worth $1m, even $800 is a stretch.
I wouldn't be worried if we lost him after offering him fair compensation.

If the Suns offered pick 5 and something else, you would have to consider it if we could land Cameron.

Jezza Cameron better not go to the Cats, I will be almost physically sick.

Agreed. That Cats team and fans have had a dream run for 14 years:

* 3 Flags, 10 Preliminary Finals
* Not a single knee reconstruction: David Wojincski aside
* Dream recruitment: Paddy
* Father/Son rort: Scarlett, Ablett, Hawkins etc..
* Westpac: debt write off of $5,000,000 in 1999
* Home ground retained and now finals played there
* seemingly NO SALARY CAP to endure

Now Jeremy Cameron, Shaun Higgins and Brad Crouch???

Yep what I’ve been saying. Get Cameron just so Geelong doesn’t. Also, it’ll mean JDG can play more midfield

Excellent cap and list management by the cats.
They sell the lifestyle well and they don't seem to overpay their players.
They have lost Ablett and Tim Kelly and are still competitive.

If they had a decent coach, they would have been a lot more successful.

Well Geelong has a big life style advantage over Melbourne clubs. It seems that players like to live in sleepy sea side towns.Maybe Collingwood should relocate to Portsea to attract a better quality player?

Exactly. Do these numbers seem reasonable??

Danger - 800k
Selwood - 650k
Hawkins - 650k
Stewart - 600k
Ablett - 600k
Duncan - 500k
Menagola - 500k
Blics - 450k
Touhy - 400k
Guthrie - 400k

That’s roughly 5.5M on 10 players....

And I’m sure guys like Steven, Dahlhaus, Stanley and Taylor aren’t cheap either....

How the fork have they still got room to chase Cameron, Higgins and Crouch???

Yes, Ablett and Taylor will retire.... but still....

Daniel Menzel had a few in at that time. But yes, have had a dream run with injuries. It's reported as an injury crisis for them if just one of their stars is missing...
