I’m thinking this is probably a pretty good get. I assume that wraps up the footy department appointments.

Post-playing career
Following the end of his playing career in 2012, Fraser expressed interest in football coaching roles and stated that wanted to establish a long-term coaching career. He has completed two coaching courses; Level Two Coaches Course and Next Coach Program.[2]

In January 2014, Fraser commenced his coaching career when he was appointed coach of the Gold Coast Sun's reserves team that plays in the North East Australian Football League (NEAFL).[1][3]

He signed to serve as development coach at the Carlton Football Club in 2016, and within that role served as coach of its VFL-affiliate club, the Northern Blues.[4] He remained with the club until the start of the 2020 season, at which point the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic saw Carlton end its connection with the Northern Blues and make Fraser redundant. In 2021, the VFL club re-established itself under its previous identity, the Northern Bullants, and Fraser remained with the club as its senior coach.[5]

Yep good news still think we would like to have either Luke hodge or Luke ball on the coaching panel at Collingwood

Greater good. Want Luke Ball on the Commission.

I like this. From playing and leadership group at pies to playing with a whole team of kids at suns. Then coaching career that probably focused on development more than anything else.
I really like it.

This is one appointment of an ex-Collingwood player I don’t mind. Peaked before our last great premiership win so missed out on a premiership medal. Reminds us how fleeting success is.

Collingwood are expected to announce that former ruckman, Carlton assistant and Northern Bullants senior coach Josh Fraser will become head of development under Craig McRae.

Fraser played 200 games with the Magpies and 18 games with Gold Coast after being the No.1 pick in the 1999 national draft.

That makes Magpies coaching team Craig McRae, Justin Leppitsch, Brendon Bolton, Hayden Skipworth, Neville Jetta, Scott Selwood and Josh Fraser for 2022.

Jetta fresh out of the game in a development role - would suggest reporting to Head of development / and senior coach.

Josh would be replacing Damian Carroll who was our head of development and left to go to saints.

After McRae's comments on the importance of development with our young list, they must rate him. I know there is a belief he did a fantastic job at the bullants.

Yes now I see he will oversee development with Jetta as his second in charge

They are complete now for coaching panel I suspect
