Craig Kelly? Ned’s even closer to Bucks than Ed is! Plus his son plays for us. When Ed steps aside let’s look outside the club for once.

If Ed hangs around for a couple more years his Presidential reign will have been longer than Saddam's.
Granted it's not really a like for like comparison (Hussein barracked for Carlton and had a moustache) but it does put into perspective just how bloody long he has been at the helm.

^ Ed may have delivered existence and other great achievements but has failed with delivering Premierships which is the main game and as I've said many times before, history will not be kind to Ed unless he nails a cup in the next 2-3 years. The noises have been going on for years and starting to get a little bit louder.

Too many conflicts of interest with his son playing for the club and being a player manager.

So who do you think was President when we won the flag in 2010?
Maybe you hadn’t been born yet 🤪😀

Collingwood has had 12 Presidents and Eddie has the worst by far record around 20 years as President of the 3 Presidents in that range.
And to answer your question, it was Syd Coventry (1950-62).

As President, under Eddie's watch, we have gotten in the grand final in 5 years. If we exclude the first couple of years as he inherited a mess, that works out to be a grand final every 4 years.
Yes, I understand that we need to aim to win and not just make the grand final, but as President, there is nothing further he can do on match day. He has put the infrastructure there to give us the best chance to make it. What else can he do?
There are clubs out there that would be begging to make it to the big dance on average every 4 years.
I really think we have to wait to see what happens at the end of next year, with the coaching contacts, before we know where we stand with Eddie.

He could have done plenty - the key factors are 1. he's a dinosaur and 2. he continually allows his personal emotions to cloud his judgment on key club decisions.
imo unless he makes some very bold and savvy moves in the clubs long term best interests it could be very messy once it eventually ends as all things do.
Next year is a HUGE year for our clubs future direction.

Collingwood has become Eddie's fief. He has become addicted to the presidency. Even if it was for the good of the club he is unlikely to resign.

All you Eddie haters are silly buggers. Like someone said, you young posters have no bloody idea how difficult it is to qualify for a grand final, let alone win one. You guys prove that ignorance is bliss🙄 Looks like Eddie suffers from the tall poppy syndrome even among Collingwood supporters😢 Also no one has mentioned a brilliant replacement for him. Most of you morons are also too young to remember the mayhem caused by the likes of Ern Clarke and his bunch of baboons who just about wrecked the club for good. Learn your Collingwood history before suggesting stupid solutions for an yet non existent problem.🤬

So one.
How many drove us into huge debts? Has Ed made us financially secure? That’s most of he’s job. Not he’s fault what happened in 2002 is it? 2011? 2018?
