I expect the next lot of AZ to have less issues so you'll have slightly more chance of dying from the vaccine than you have of winning Tatts.
I'll do what I need to do to let the country open back up again and avoid this overly risk averse lockdown bullshit. |
oh $$%^%%$ hell stui, dont act like a saint and make me feel guilty, i live on guilt, im as guilt pig!! thats just cruel! |
I'm not a saint by any definition and I'm not trying to guilt you. You've admitted you're scared and I can respect that.
I don't respect claiming to not be scared while pushing arguments about risk and self entitled bullshit like "Why should I get the bad one, ScoMo got the good one, I want the good one too". |
yeah i know! i was joking i thought you'd laugh!!!
so my very well educated and far more calm and scary than me friend has reassured me, and corrected my assumptions so i calmed down and did some research, and it turns out that the EU passport does include AZ they have just changed the name. (this is the EU passport but since hubby wants to go back to Europe next year, and i want to see more of Germany, and go to Iceland im all in!!! so i havent checked the US, thats 15 hours away, i want to get long haul out of my system first!!)
https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/news/all-details-on-eu-covid-19-passport-revealed-heres-what-you-need-to-know/
and there is also research into the choice for the second jab, it seems you can safely change, some studies found it gave a better antibody result, some found you get the worst of both side effects!! I gotta go to the doc and arrange the annual tests anyway so i will discuss it further with her. 8 weeks from the first jab is still a month away, and the 12 for a second AZ is 2 months away, things are changing so fast i wont be rushing a decision!!

And another ten in NSW since yesterday morning:
Quote: | NSW recorded five locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, two of which were announced yesterday morning.
NSW Health has also been notified of seven new locally acquired cases overnight. These cases will be included in tomorrow's numbers. |
https://twitter.com/NSWHealth/status/1407141304207765512/photo/1
And here's a summary from the ABC blog:
Quote: | There are now 21 new cases linked to the Bondi cluster.
Just a recap, there were five new cases reported in today's official count, but we learned about two of them yesterday. And there were seven cases that missed the 8:00pm deadline and will be included in tomorrow's numbers.
So, all up, there are 10 new cases today that we haven't heard about before. Let's have a look at those cases
The two we heard about yesterday:
- a woman in her 50s from Sydney's northern suburbs. She is a close contact of a previously reported case and has been in isolation.
- a man in his 30s from Sydney's eastern suburbs. He is a close contact of a previously reported case and has been in isolation.
The three new cases were reported to 8:00pm last night are:
- a woman in her 60s from the Illawarra. She is a close contact of a previously reported case and has been in isolation.
- a woman in her 40s from Sydney's northern suburbs. She is a close contact of a previously reported case and has been in isolation.
- a woman in her 20s from the eastern suburbs. She is linked to the Bondi cluster. Further investigations are underway.
And then there's those seven cases reported after 8:00pm.
- Six of these are household contacts of previous cases who have been in isolation.
- One case is a child who attends primary school in the eastern suburbs. |

Interesting numbers. Again, it will provide a constructive comparison how NSW does from this point.
In other news, I see on the news the Vaccine rollout in Victoria is suffering, this time from people not booking in to get their second Pfizer shot FFS.
By next week, there'll be 70,000+ people who've had the first shot, are due for the second, and haven't booked in apparently.
Mind you, that could all be down to the vic gov booking software, we don't know. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Good stuff Dave, as for the NSW comments, pretty sure you and ABC spin doctor and Dan’s ass kisser all said the same thing over new years, never happened…
Lockdowns are only necessary for states with incompetent contact tracing
10 new cases of which 8 were already in isolation |

Yep, my second AZ shot is booked and I'll go in.
I'm making no judgement at this stage on the NSW response, just observing.
A consideration is that NSW is geographically far larger than Victoria. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Cheers and you too Dave.
I have no problems going back for the 2nd shot, no point being too scared of dying to live. I could/should have been dead 100 times over with the dumb things I've done over the years. They'll get me eventually but not soon. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Sydney are fooked. They are using old COVID protocols that don't work for the Delta strain. At this rate, the country will go into lockdown by the end of July _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

And, in the really big news:
Quote: | A negative COVID test is no longer required to hit the ski slopes
Currently, people from Melbourne visiting alpine resorts are required to return a negative COVID test in the three days before arriving at the slopes.
This rule will be lifted, but it remains a recommendation that people are tested, particularly if people stay overnight. |
