Jobs for mates.
Maxwell has no genuine claim to be a GM. All he is good at is kicking a piece of inflated leather. |

He wasn't even any good at that! Punching a piece of inflated leather was his only talent and only if it was as a 3rd man up. |

Balme was good at punching opponents heads so maybe it'll work... anyway, just a temporary solution _________________ https://forever.collingwoodfc.com.au/sav-sinks-the-dockers/ |

What this announcement tells me is the Walshy’s exit was more unplanned than the club led us to believe (he had been considering his retirement early in the year!!). It is very unlike the Pies not to have a plan in place for his replacement if he had flagged it earlier on |

Agree - They already would have advertised the position knowing of Walshy's pending departure. Seems like a recent decision to me. |

Yes for all the talk about us being the biggest club -the professional club one would suspect they would have the replacement person there with a small transition period before Geoff left ——-not the big do every thing well club they say they are _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Was Walsh the GM with oversight of salary cap management and trading?
If so, then I think it quite likely that he has been forced to resign in light of the recent mismanagement of the salary cap and the subsequent trading debacles this year.
The club has made a point of publicly stating that there has been no problems in these areas e,g, the CEO's letter to members. Hopefully this was all for external consumption and the problems were actually recognised internally and the CEO and the board are now working to fix the underlying issues. _________________ Side by side. |
