| Well,I think this was always going to happen.Once the media sharks smell blood in the water they always go for the kill.I just wonder who they’re going to go after next?The club as a a whole?Will they try to drive Collingwood out of the A.F.L because of this issue? |

Eddie has been there for two decades. If he and his board haven't left any structure in place to replace him, then that would indeed be an awful situation. I have a feeling we'll be okay.
While it's a pity that he's leaving in such inglorious circumstances, he's had an innings that most players and coaches could only dream of, and I feel he's doing the right thing in pulling the plug now.

Mate, dunno bout them, its more the Media, day after day of endless pressure on him, constant media hype and spin. How sad to go out on this awful note, people forget he virtually saved the Club from insolvency in his early days, worked his butt off to save the Club. Now he will only be remembered for this, and internal report we did ourselves off our own bat, but that wasnt good enough for the Magpie detractors, so they finally got him. Sad day indeed.

Buckley, De Goey. There are others like David Galbally (hopefully not the David who posts here!) pushing for Pendlebury’s head too.
and don’t laugh, there are many calling for the club to be banned for a year.

So everyone in the media and the critics and AFL didn’t $$%^%%$ read the written statement the club released when they held last week’s presser, or (even worse) they wilfully ignored it and didn’t report it. That written statement is what Ed just read out and it included sorry.

Tell u what, whoever our next President is, i hope they never hardly speak to the media, in fact, ban the media, like slob Robbo, Caro, Whately, ban all the bastards from the Club, for a long time. I hope the next Prez hardly says a word to them, gives em nothng, keeps a really low profile, no comment, just tell em al to get right royally stuffed. The Media hates the Magpies, but thrives on innuendo and rumours bout us, well hard cheese, from now on, give the shisters nothing, tell them to piss off, and NO comment on anything. Keep it all inhouse now, no interviews by our players either, hit em where it hurts. !
