25 years ago today, one of THE best movies of all time was released.

Happy Gilmore.

It's impact is shown how people can have conversations using quotes from the movie. Plus it made golf cool for a while

Years ago I was in a gym late at night riding a bike.
There was only one other guy using the gym, running hard on a treadmill a few metres in front of me and to the right.
The trainer running the gym was bored so asked us if he could turn the music videos off and put a DVD on. We both said ok and he put on Happy Gilmour. I had never heard of it as it must have been a recent release.
It got to the scene where Happy is teeing off from his grandmother's front lawn and belts the ball down the street and into a distant neighbour's home.
The treadmill guy started laughing, stumbled and was spat out backwards face down onto the carpet.

It's no Caddyshack but it's pretty good.

Sounds like life imitating art!

He took chunks of skin off both knees so it wasn't really artistic.
