A lot of it is was spent injured.
At the same age, his father had played 162 games, won a Brownlow Medal, played in 20 finals (including 4 Grand Finals), carried the team in the ruck for 3 years in a row and kicked 181 goals. |

Umm..........I’m not prepared to assess Collingwood and our realistic chances based on one practice match in February. They have a very long way to go to deserve any consideration for a top 8 finish. The jury is well and truly out.

No not based on today’s game at all
I don’t think either Stevo nor Treloar have been consistently performing players for last two seasons and Atu relatively untried
Flip had tapered last season—-with all our new recruits within the top 35 may well produce one or maybe two gems
The experience thing may hamper but still feel we aren’t what the so called eggsperts believe we are

I would be surprised if McInnes plays senior footy at all this year.
The hype was generated by the press, not necessarily by those who follow the U18s.
McInnes was one of the youngest players picked in the entire draft and didn’t play in 2020 ( like all Vic U18s ) He also wasn’t considered by any other club on draft night until the mid twenties, so it’s not like he comes to us as a plug and play prodigy. He will be alright but he’s got work to do before he plays seniors.
I would also doubt If we will see too many kids against Richmond with the reduced number of practice games before the season proper.
The club will want to plan for some stability and structure against Richmond before the season starts properly. Whichever draftees don’t play against Richmond are also not likely to play against the Dogs. |

True. I think a middle of the ladder finish is probably a fair prediction. And if that’s the case, finishing 6 - 8 might be a good season in 2021.

With the players I mentioned being in my mind poor contributors last year
our finish in bottom half of eight was a fair reflection of our season
I’d see an 8 with the odd inexperienced players thru the season playing at times as a creditable result
Any way time will tell and the good to come out of season will be the growth of the likes of Quaynor,Nobel,Daicos a good thing
