gay or straight, I do not get the attraction of videoing yourself rubbing one out and sharing it with others.  The blokes in the Parliament House scenario all are apparently gay, but certain AFL footballers have been accused of recording themselves doing the same and face timing young woman so they can watch.
Are they hoping for compliments on their technique or that those viewing the scene will be so impressed and aroused with the sheer magnificence of their pecker that the queue to get an in person experience will be around the block?

What would you think if it was a female "friend with benefits" sending you such a video? I trust most of us have at one time or other sought out videos of people wanking online for our own masturbatory purposes, and it’s hardly uncommon in this day and age for sexual partners to send one another material of this nature – it surely goes without saying that men who are attracted to men are going to feel differently about videos of men pleasuring themselves than a straight guy would. There’s no suggestion that this footage was being sent out indiscriminately, but rather to other guys who were reciprocating and whom, presumably, they thought they could trust.
While it seems that at least some of these men crossed the line professionally, I remain uncomfortable about the fact that they’re being targeted by a spurned former love who has no apparent intention other than to humiliate and satisfy some desire for revenge – and, more so, that consensually shared intimate messages are being weaponised in this way. It’s a dishonourable act and shouldn’t be incentivised.

The whole "spurned former lover" angle which as mentioned in the article would potentially make this revenge porn should definitely be investigated, ideally by Police, although there's also the whistleblowers principle so I'm largely ambivilent about that.

If a friends with benefits sent me such a video, I'd message back with "stop teasing and bring that over here" and I still don't get the connection with rubbing one out on the bosses desk.
