Buckley sucks, the club is overly obsessed with him and its cost us HUGE...
Great player, but totally self focused while playing (give me the ball.. and we did regularly... and other clubs knew that too... remember that period when Bucks was injured all the time, we'd win games, and when he was not we'd lose games...) .
It's a 26 yr club curse, the sooner he's gone and never has anything to do with the 'football' department - the better for our club.
Its a FACT. |
Strong words, BWCW. Maybe not totally correct: I think Bucks was an excellent assistant coach. But I think his time as coach has pretty much been a slow motion tragedy. 2018 GF was a great achievement, but I think it was far more due to the presence of Longmuir and Hocking, than anything Bucks contributed. Since their departure, the slow motion tragedy continued, and indeed at the end of last year the speed of the movie accelerated with the ignominous treatment of Adam Treloar and the insane ejection of Jaidyn Stephenson. In summary, I too will be relieved when he walks. |
Spot on BWCW - Buckley was parachuted into the role by Eddie and it has lead to a decade of pain. Buckley is a polarising narcissist and a weak coach. Sooner the better |

they say the night is always darkest before the dawn! This will either destroy us on field or create a united force of nature! Never under estimate the power of a committed group of footballers who rally around each other when things look grim!!!

I expect Nathan to coach til his contract runs out ( tho the Year of Upheaval may sort that out)
Any way do we want an untried coach or one with experience—-example Ross Lyon _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Well whenever it does happen, I think it'll almost certainly end up being Ross to be honest. Maybe not a sure thing but certainly the odds on bet. _________________ All Aboard!! Choo Choo!!! |

My God,surely not. I do not want him to be our coach. He is the nowhere coach. He has been on a long journey to nowhere for many years now, as well as having a less than attractive personality. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

I know this won't be very popular with the Collingwood flock, specially here on Nick's - but realistically really think about what we'll want to do once Bucks goes... we'll want to sign an experienced solid coach... right now there are 'realistically' 2 available... Brad Scott and Ross Lyon. _________________ All Aboard!! Choo Choo!!! |

Unlike our current exciting brand of footy?
But I don't get Bucks point here, he is out of contract. Is he saying he won't accept if the club is stupid enough to offer him another contract? |

Scott and Lyon.... #nothanks
Buckley will coach until the end of this season/his contract. He wont "be sacked". I think we can accept that.
If he walks, thats the thing... there are no real experienced coaches unless Clarkson leaves the Hawks. So to me, it'd be likely we go for someone brand new... well someone thats been in the assistant job and ready to go.
That in itself can be a guessing game. We dont want a North/Rhyce Shaw issue.
Maybe parting with Bucks is going to be the right call, but far out, who is going to be the right call to bring in. Stuffed if I know. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |
